His sister Audrey and his brother-in-law Matthias aren't killed by Joseph this time, but he still adopts his nephew, this time with Lockie (or Lachs, as his son calls him) as a parent too.

Since Darren raises Joseph more-or-less properly, Darren and Joseph attend the wedding happily

He too remains largely unchanged, like his husband. He gets to love Lockie and his adopted nephew more, since Joseph doesn't pose a threat to him, his husband, son or sister.

The biggest change is that due to the absence of his husband's death, Timmy isn't left traumatized, guilt-ridden or depressed. He also doesn't (possibly) kill himself as a result
