She's an American Alphan Half-Dryad, although, technically, because of her mother, she has British citizenship. You'd never hear her call herself British, though.
medium tan
normal, slightly muscular.
She has a mole/beauty mark high on the left side of her forehead.
Tends to wear baggier clothing, prefers comfort over style. Sweats, jeans, t-shirts, hoodies. Lots of workout clothes. Tennis shoes on her feet. She had her ears pierced as a kid, and technically, the holes are still there, but she hasn't worn earrings since she was 12.
Note: Her preferred choice of clothing may also have underlying ties to her desire to rebel against her mother.
- RBF
- She pops her fingers a lot
- when angry: sets jaw out, pouty face, arms either at sides in fists or crossed over chest, squinty eyes. stomps around a bit. glares at everyone

- when in conflict: stubborn, RBF Concentration face. If physical, hands up, body in boxing position.
- when happy: smiley, relaxed, eyes a bit squinty.
- protective
- not giving in to her mom/siblings

She's very judgmental of rich, high-born families, due to her own origins

she's a nice person, but can be a little harsh at times. She might take a while to warm up, but overall she's a good person
She's afraid of small creepy-crawlies (rats, spiders, etc).
her speaking voice is medium-low, and she doesn't use too much slang (obviously, no one can go completely without using slang nowadays, but she turns it down a bit). She also tends to enunciate her consonants more.
High end of average (IQ of 115-ish).

Sophomore at Ryba University
She is the result of an affair her mother had with her father, a human. When her mother found out she was pregnant, she kept the baby (Dryads are generally pro-life), but she dropped it off at her father's doorstep. Her biological father kept her, but insisted that her mother have some part in her life, so she spent every other week with her. This did not make her mother happy, and growing up, it did not make Amber happy either, as her half-sister and one of her half-brothers gave her a very hard time throughout her childhood. Her other, oldest half-brother always stayed distant, speaking to her only rarely, and then very formally, although he did this with pretty much everyone. She and her biological father were always very close, even though she consistently begged him to let her stay home. He was firm, however (due to his own upbringing of being raised without a mother), and so she continues to live with them to this day.
Suburbs of NYC in rich-family tree-home with mother, outside LA in family vineyard with father.
She does not have any pets at her mother's house, though her father has an Australian Shepherd to keep him company while he's working the vineyards.

Tiana: They do NOT like each other. Tiana often teases her/tries to get under her skin, and makes it quite apparent that she thinks she is inherently better than Amber. Tiana, like her mother, is emotionally abusive. She has tried numerous times before to pet Boomerang, but he doesn't like her, and their interactions usually end with her calling him a "stupid animal" or something like that. She has recently started saying that she thinks she is "allergic" to Boomerang. -
Tiana's twin: Like her and Tiana, they do not like each other, although he does not tease her nearly as much as Tiana does. She still thinks he's a disgusting person, and likewise, he thinks he's inherently better than her, and is thus very haughty. When he does tease her, it is usually about relatively minor things, such as her fear of spiders or the fact that her hair is a mess. However, Amber is creeped out by him much more, as, to her, he comes across as sinister (and, let's be honest, he usually is), and she can't read him. He's much more opportunistic. He's also, strangely, nice to Boomerang, and Boomerang, while cautious of him, has never tried to bite him. -
Older brother: They don't really talk much, and when they do, it's very formal. Unlike his siblings, he is not unkind to her. He's not kind, necessarily, but neither is he mean. He's mostly just distant. Amber really isn't sure what to think of him. He's very formal when they talk, and she usually feels awkward. She doesn't hate him, though. He seems to like Boomerang, which is the greatest amount of emotion/reaction she's ever seen him show towards anything. -
Claudia Thorne: The catalyst of the emotional abuse, she does not like her daughter, and neither does Amber like her. Claudia is ashamed of Amber, and regrets having her (but of course, she had to, otherwise the other Dryads would have shunned her, and she would have a much bigger scandal on her hands). She makes her displeasure plain, and does her best to make Amber feel inadequate, in the hopes that doing so will push Amber to do better (if she's here, she might as well be useful, right?). She does not like Boomerang, either, and has tried a few times to get rid of him. -
Dad Thorne: He is the only one in the Thorne family who is actually consistently NICE to Amber. He has long since forgiven his wife for her infidelity, though Amber cannot possibly fathom why. Amber likes him, and though she feels a bit awkward with him because of the circumstances surrounding her birth, she gets along well with him. He has taught her quite a lot, actually, and while she's at their house, she usually helps him with whatever work he needs help with. He's also very affectionate towards Boomerang. -
Dad Williams: they are very close, and although Amber harbors some resentment towards him for forcing her to stay with her mother and family so often, they love each other a lot. Amber trusts him (which is more than she can say for most of her other family, aside from her step-father), and she often goes to him for advice, or just to talk or vent. He is very affectionate with Boomerang.
Upper-middle class with her father, TECHNICALLY upper-class with her mother, though she doesn't really get any of the benefits that her half-siblings get.
Boomerang, a 3-year-old [[Creature-19311]]. He is about the size of a small/medium-sized cat, and spends most of his time sitting around her shoulders.
Epilepsy
She doesn't have any diagnoses, but she has suffered consistent emotional abuse from her mother and sister, so that's probably had an effect.
She's allergic to dust.
Epilepsy medication
She'd be deeply emotionally hurt, and probably start crying. She's actually extremely insecure, due to the emotional abuse dealt to her by her mother and twin siblings, so having something else for them to make fun of might just break her. She might actually run away, and go back to her father for good.
Respected, definitely, at first. But then, as time went on, she'd realize how lonely it is, having everyone put you on a pedestal, and she'd probably change her mind after that.
She'd want Boomerang around. She'd be scared, sure, but Boomerang would comfort her.
She'd yell at the attacker and run toward them (and Boomerang would screech at them), and then fight them if they didn't back off.
She'd scream, and Boomerang would get a free snack.
Drive right past. She doesn't know them. For all she knows, they could be a serial killer!
Lots and lots of blushing, and she'd probably end up throwing the book across the room (which would end up confusing/worrying boomerang).
Lots and lots of panicking. She could've sworn she just did the laundry!
Then Tiana would notice her panicking and taunt her about not being ready, and missing school, and how angry their mother would get. Then Amber would throw on an old hoodie and a pair of jeans, and fume the whole day, and boomerang would worry about her the whole time.
She'd immediately respond with "Huh? What was that?" or something along those lines, and then go look for the source of it.
She'd train hard. If she's going to run a marathon, she's going to do it right.
Nope. Nope nope nope. She'd do that for Boomerang, because he's a carnivore, but she wouldn't do it for herself.
She'd try, at least, but honestly, she wouldn't do that well. Most of her jokes would fall flat, and then she'd get mad and yell at the audience for not laughing.
Sight. Her epilepsy is not technically photosensitive, but her eyes are still somewhat sensitive, even if seeing things like that doesn't cause a seizure. She'd be okay with not having to worry about that anymore.
Honestly, she'd go for it immediately. She'd be fascinated by it (and she'd be super excited to see Boomerang in a space suit).
She'd take it to the nearest authority immediately. She doesn't need theft on her record.
She'd definitely get all huffy, and call it a dumb joke, and insist that it's not that funny.
She'd take to it pretty quickly, but then she'd be surprised at how difficult it really is and how much paperwork there is, and then she'd get stressed about it.
She'd honestly be pretty broken up about it. She wouldn't be able to fight, or do sports, or help her dad at the farm. She hates office work, so losing the use of one or more of her limbs would devastate her.
Immediate scream, followed by backing all the way across the room and wordlessly pointing at her pillow when someone inevitably comes into the room. Of course, Boomerang would be super confused. He'd sniff it, maybe go to lick it, but inevitably lose interest and trot back over to comfort Amber.
Similar reaction to if her house was foreclosed on, only she'd be slightly more upset about the death of the tree, since she's half-dryad. She still wouldn't really care about her family, although she'd feel a little bad about her step-father's work being destroyed. She would also feel bad for [oldest brother] when she inevitably sees him mourning it all alone.
She'd freak out, asking her dad what they would do, what about the vineyards, etc. If it was her mom's house, she'd probably say something along the lines of "Finally screwed with wrong producer, huh?" or something along those lines, then sarcastically say something like "Oh Darn, guess I'll have to live with Dad permanently, now."
She'd be suspicious/confused, but she'd thank them. She wouldn't be very good at hiding her suspicion/confusion, of course, but she would thank them.
Pretty confused and a bit flustered. She'd assume it was a prank played by the twins. If it wasn't, she'd probably end up befriending them and asking what the heck they're doing.
She'd give the person controlling the music the best death glare she could muster and say "Change it. Now."
She'd freeze for a few seconds, honestly, then scold herself for freezing after she sees others taking control of the situation, and then she'd go to whoever seemed to be leading and ask them how she could help.
Lots and lots of blushes and sputtering. Probably end up completely frozen.
Her first reaction would be "Really? Are you serious?" If they were, she'd say something like "Fine. Come at me, then," and fight them, and probably dominate with her combined boxing skills and reinforced fists (assuming they were just some drunk idiot. If it were a real opponent with actual fighting skill, she'd have a much tougher time, if not straight-up get her ass kicked).
"Give them the nicest cell we have" (AKA the deepest, darkest, dirtiest part of the dungeon. She has no mercy).
She'd shoo them away, and then Boomerang would chase them away.
She'd write, obsessively. It would take up all of her free time (even her study time) until it was out of her head and onto the page.
She'd mainly be angry. She helped them, was friendly toward them, was willing to work with them, and they just spit in her face? How could they? And so, even though her heart would be breaking, she'd harden the leftover pieces against them, and do what she had to do.
"Is this some sort of trick?" would be her first reaction, and if no one was around, she'd probably decline. However, if someone was with her to urge her on (especially if it were the twins challenging her to a competition), she'd do it.
She'd comment on how irresponsible the mother is, and then probably give it to the foster care system. She's not ready to be a mother.
Of course, if Tiana were there when she found it, she'd insist on keeping it, simply to annoy Amber, and Amber would respond by saying "You want it? Fine. You take care of it. I've got homework to do," and shoving it into her arms.

Nadya they're not that close, but they do study together a lot. Nadya is very stoic and focused, which Amber simultaneously finds refreshing and a bit strange.

Female singers, pop music. Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, for instance.
She has a BondHub, but she doesn't really use it much. She does keep a blog, however, which she uses in combination to vent about her life and to write articles about the various sports she's involved in.
