He graduated college with a degree in law.

He had an American father and a Chinese mother. He also had a younger brother named Josh.

Initially Danny's maternal grandfather disapproved his parents' relationship, but they remained together. As a result, his grandfather disowned & disinherited his mother. This is the start of Danny's great dislike towards his maternal family.

A car crash killed his parents. During their funeral, Danny's maternal family didn't attend, which only increased his dislike towards them further.

After the death of his parents, Patricia (his paternal aunt) took Danny & Josh in. She practically raised them along with her only son, Gabriel.

Over the years, the four grew close. Danny & Josh became big brother figures for Gabriel, who are younger than them. Danny is the nurturing, mentor-type, while Josh was the cool, friendly one.

But unfortunately, Josh died due to a fatal accident. Worse, it happened during the happiest day of his life: he just graduated high school AND he got scouted by a famous basketball team recruiting new players. Because of this, Danny fell into depression.

It took him three to four months to finally accept Josh's death and move on with his life.

(There's a short gap of 2 weeks here: Danny developed a crush on a girl and the two became a couple. But then he found out that she cheated on him and that she was only using him for her own personal gain. Heartbroken, he broke up with her.)

Then something happened to Danny, which enhanced his agility, reflexes & movements. And that's how he got his super-speed ability.

Then he meets four other people who have superpowers as well. They fight together and eventually they formed a superhero team.

A few years later, he meets Evelyn. And the two develop feelings for each other as they get to know each other more.
