He comes from an English royal family, and has 3 older siblings (two boys and one girl).

All his older siblings have become role models, all perfect and with bright futures. Everyone was expecting the same from Melvin, putting an immense pressure on him, expecting him to be obedient and perfect like his siblings, and not allowing him to make any mistakes or show any weaknesses. Of course, Melvin finally snapped, and in total fury killed one of his older brothers (which is his darkest secret).

The news made it into the newspapers, and suddenly, Melvin started getting the attention he always begged for, since he was always outshined by his siblings. That made him believe the only way he'll ever get recognition is by killing, so he decided to fake his death/run away and start over in the USA. There, he became a porfilic serial killer, known as the Venetian Killer because of the Venetian Mask he was known to wear during his killings.

Many people in The Naissance that don't know about his dark side wonder what the hell he is doing there, but oh boy, Melvin's demeanor changes the instant he gets the chance to prove society he's worthy of attention.

Ok so this guy. I love his voice. It's just like soft silk for my ears. Sooo I've decided to choose his wonderful voice for Melvin.
If you listen to it, I don't refer to the words. What he says isn't what Melvin would say, but his speech pattern and tone is EXACTLY what Melvin would sound like, so yeah!

• The pic in the Gallery is his Venetian mask, it covers his whole face, and the lower part is flat and with no mouth drawn on it, so it looks really emotionless 10/10 would recommend

Melvin means "bad town", and Callaghan comes from Ceallach which means "bright-headed" or "war/strife", which is pretty cool and represents him pretty damn well:)
Also, he has a sweet personality, and "Mel" means honey in Catalan, so it can be associated with sweetness.
About his nickname, The Venetian Masked Killer, the mask is symbolic, and he wears it even when he kills for The Naissance. It means although he wants attention, he is too scared to truly show himself, and hides behind his emotionless mask. At the end of the story, I'm planning on making him finally take off his mask during his killings, meaning he no longer fears (or cares) about what the consequences might be.
