She was a baby when the air nation fell since it was attacked much sooner than the rest, she somehow survived and doesn't remember anything from when she was quite young but the elder took care of her but when it got to risky for Alla to stay with the elder because of frequent military searched she had Terra's grandmother wipe her memories. From then on Alla survived on her own as a young child and was alone until she met Blaze when they were around preteen age.
