Grew up with his massive family like actually massive he had so many siblings, Blaze was the youngest and wasn't developing any powers so he got picked on a lot for being a dud and bringing shame on the family but Ash always stood up for him, they were very close. After the war he survived and looked for Blaze but got caught by the military and that's how he met Terra and Glaciera. They teamed up and Terra trusted him after a while and they started developing farther feelings for eachother. Terra went missing in a fight, he and Glaciera searched but assumed she had died so him and Glaciera went their separate ways. Ash lost all hope and fell deep into depression he only hid from the military and he was unable to use his powers well during that time. It went on until Terra returned.
