Sarah was born on Isle Saint Marie, a lawless island full of criminals and a haven for pirates. She meets a girl named Gemini and tells her her plan to make Isle Saint Marie a better place. Inspired, Gemini agrees to help her achieve her goal and try to start a pirate crew. They eventually meet two pirates who agree to train them. 2 years later, they form the Sharkskin Pirates and depart from Isle Saint Marie. Eventually their crew gets wiped out by the Hydronian Navy. Sarah and Gemini washed up ashore on a deserted island with a large spire. The inhabitant offers to save Sarah's life if Gemini agrees to let them experiment on them both. Once the experiments were over, Sarah gains the ability to switch bodies. They depart and reform the pirate crew.
