The Dancer
4’9 he’s a fucking shrimp
Dark brown with a bleached blonde ombre tips
Usually nothing, Quill is almost religious when it comes to shaving, however he does deal with a beard shadow which annoys the fuck out of him. He usually covers it with makeup.
His eyes are a pretty vibrant green
Hybrid (Half-human, half-Tamer)
Considerably toasty brown with a neutral undertone
After years of working as a stripper and mastering the pole, Quill is built, and I mean fucking jacked, this boi can crush someone’s skull with his thighs if he really wanted to.
A small mole under his right eye, and later on he gets a pretty noticeable scar on his left eye, through its mostly visible right under it, and he tries very hard to cover it with makeup as much as he can.
Quill is unashamedly slutty, he loves revealing, feminine clothing, short shorts, fishnets and high heels, crop tops or transparent tight tops, he sometimes just doesn’t wear a top and uses some big pretty gold chain top.
He’s not always in ho mode, of course, and when he decides he wants to be more casual he still sticks to heels most of the time, but will usually wear more comfortable, longer shorts or jeans, graphic tees (punny ones especially, he has a sense of humor), or green paid shirts.
Quill’s hair is very puffy, very fluffy, and very soft. It comes out very thin and smooth, but curls into big open loops towards the tips. He loves it, and takes very good care of it, (mainly because this hair texture is very finicky, and if he doesn’t, it tangles horribly, he’s broken brushes trying to tame it before).
Quill is a very feminine person. He’s always been, and he’s not ashamed of it. He talks with his hands a lot, and uses so many pet names he sometimes forgets the names of people he’s met because he just doesn’t use them as much as he should.
His body language tends to be fairly open, and he’s naturally very flirty. Because he got into the sex work industry very young, he tends to automatically act a lot more sultry than he needs to, out of habit.
He’s very energetic and excitable, and it shows, he tends to move a lot, shift his weight between his feet, pick at his claws, play with his hair; he doesn’t usually notice when he does this.
Our baby boy Quincy has a horribly taste in men. He chases after wealthy older men (daddy issues who?) and he always ends up getting heartbroken in the process.
Quill is a very talented dancer. He did ballet for several years as a kid, has done gymnastics most of his life, and has been doing pole dancing for years as well, so he’s a very fluid, very flexible, very physically strong person.
He’s also a really good makeup artist, and dreams of creating his own makeup brand someday.
He knits and does crochet a lot, likes to mix music sometimes, and is really into fashion.
Because of his hybrid genetics, Quill was born with a hypersensitive tamer sight. Ever since he was a kid, he could hear everything that anyone within eyesight thought about him. Because he was born like this, it didn’t impact his social life TOO much, he learned to tune it out and have it as a constant background noise, however he didn’t do well in crowds, as he got overwhelmed very easily and got very severe migraines.
About halfway through the story however, he suffers an attack from an enemy mage that Raymond was trying to kill. This mage synthetically over saturated Quill’s sight with the intent of frying his brain with overstimulation. It almost worked, thankfully Raymond was on time to stop him and save Quill’s life. This encounter however, completely fried Quill’s whisker nerves, and he’s now completely lost his tamer sight. This presents a whole new set of challenges, as he relied on his sight to interact with people, and most importantly, his audience. This also left him with some lasting damage, as now his whiskers are very sensitive and cannot handle being touched, he gets random migraines sometimes, and if he tries too hard to force his sight, he could potentially harm himself.
Sex and Alcohol are Quill’s big vices. He didn’t get a proper, healthy introduction to them, so he actively uses both as bad comping mechanisms, and replacements for intimacy.

Born "Theodore Copeland 2nd", Quincy was the youngest sibling in an upper-class family. His father (Theodore Copeland 1st) was a successful Irish businessman who was pretty emotionally detached. From Quincy, anyway, since he apparently had no issues with his older sister Veronica . This was probably for the better, considering how Theodore was very traditionalist, and Quincy's interests in art and dance were a constant cause of fights every time they even had a conversation.
This was not a problem with his mother, a beast tamer from Venezuela, who was supportive of Quincy's interests and encouraged him to follow his passions, even if he had to hide them from his father.
And so, he did, at around 8years old, he joined his sister on her dance classes. His father not knowing didn't save him from the occasional bullying, but he eventually grew the thick skin needed to handle it.
Since very little, Quincy had shown signs of being a gifted tamer, He started understanding energy trails way before its expected for tamers, and by the time he was a teenager, on top of the usual teen issues and his family drama, he had to deal with his overly sensitive trail reading. He could hear everything people thought about him, so he learned to hate crowds and stay away from attention, since he couldn’t deal with all the negative attention he used to get for the way he acted and presented himself.
With time, he build a persona for himself, he would hide under this fake confidence so people would like him better. It worked sometimes, but in the end you can’t please everybody, and he continued to suffer in silence.
It was all going well until his father found out about him doing ballet about 8 years into his classes, when he was 16. A Big Fight resulted in Theodore saying some things that, as much as he will forever deny it, deeply hurt Quincy to the point he refused to stay in the same house as him. That night he packed his bags, raided his fathers office (and absolutely trashed it), and ran away.
He wanted to get as far away as he possibly could, so using the money he stole from he father, he traveled and snuck around, until eventually he managed to get on a train to Vershade, where he finally, eventually, ran out of money, and got stranded.
Having lived in an upper-class household all his life, Quincy had never before needed to work for a thing in his life, so being thrown into the world so abruptly resulted about as well as one can imagine.
In about a month he was completely out of money, barely had any clothes left, and his only possession aside from his old blue travel bag was a Quill pen set he stole from his father out of salt.
It was especially hard for him to get a job since his overactive sight Let him hear exactly how people were judging him during interviews and made him hyper-aware of himself, and more often than not ended up messing up because of it.
Out of desperation, he turned to street walking. It was a pretty traumatic experience, even though he’ll deny it, not because of the work itself, but because of how unprepared and unaware he was of everything. He didn’t know what to expect, how much to charge, what kind of people to avoid, how to stay safe, what the red flags were, he was completely oblivious and terrified. Eventually however, with time and experience, he got used to it.
About six months later, he met who would become his best friend, Fabio a bartender on a popular Strip club named the Golden Star Cabaret. Fabian, wanting to help, talked with the manager at the time, and got Quill a free shot to try dancing at the club that night. He did surprisingly well, for a first try, and the manager agreed to let him perform a couple times a week. Getting these two sources of income really set Quincy up, he managed to rent a very small studio apartment near the club, and afford himself small luxuries like better looking clothes, and some new makeup, which helped with his self esteem at the time.
After a couple months, he got good enough at his job that he caught the attention of the owner, Raymond . He got offered the chance to become one of Raymonds’ few permanent dancers. What this meant essentially was that Raymond thought he was good enough to bring in a consistent crowd, so he wanted him to stick around and work stable shifts, without having to pay for his space. That was a huge offer, and one that Quill had learned was pretty rare in the industry, so he agreed immediately.
From that point on, Quill stopped street walking altogether, finding it a lot safer to stick to the cabaret, now being able to be selective with the clients he still decided to take, most of which were vetted regulars at the club.
He grew very comfortable in his place at the club, and by 19 he was well known in the area, and was often used as advertisement for the club and its events. He’d managed to get himself a prominent space in this little community.
(I feel its important to note, he never told anyone his age until he turned 21, Fabian and Raymond included, and they were both Very upset and scandalized when he finally told them, however by that point he was already an adult, he’d been working at the golden star for around 5 years at the time, and there really was no use arguing with him about it.)
At this point, as a confident, self sufficient, independent 19y/old, Quincy felt like a success story. He had gotten used to working a crowd, and even with his hyperactive sight, he’d gotten really attached to his job. He had the habit of drinking before performing, to help dull his sight a bit, but even then, he got a kick out of people’s reactions to him. For the first time ever, he was surrounded in a crowd of people who felt nothing but good things about him, and this positive attention was intoxicating, and he grew kind of addicted to it.
Around this time, him and Fabian were sort of dancing around each other and flirting a lot. He did legitimately liked Fabian, regardless of all the teasing they did, and he started to slowly try and make a relationship happen. It didn’t exactly go as planned, and after a bit too much to drink, they hooked up. Which did not sit well with Fabian, who had an identity crisis, and took his fear out on Quill. It was a pretty awful situation, and their entire friendship pretty much ended there. They didn’t speak to each other for a while (or more like, Fabian refused to speak to him), but after a couple weeks, they became cordial with each other. By this point, they were coworkers and little more.
The whole situation really fucked with Quill, who felt really guilty about it. He was a overactive tamer, after all, shouldn’t he have been able to tell that Fabian was uncomfortable with the situation? He would have been able to hear it immediately the moment Fabian even had the /thought/ of not liking him back, so how did he miss it? Was he so focused on what he wanted that he ignored it? It really haunted him for a while, and it took him a long time to feel confident in himself again after that.
It is during this time that he meets Nicholas Hayes . It was a very chaotic, chance meeting.
Nick’s always had the hobby of jumping off cliffs to fly off them, however to a young, unknowing baby Quill, the picture of a dude staring off into the distance sitting on a railing at the highest peak of Vershade’s cliff was alarming, so he decided approach this mystery man and try to talk to him, figure out what’s up. Which was a horrible idea, because it startled Nick, who lost his balance and fell off the damn cliff. Which would have been fine, he would have just flown off, but Quill had an automatic instinctive dumbass reaction, tried to grab him, and ended up just falling right behind him. Brilliant, I know.
Nick was very much not strong enough to fly both of them out of the situation, so he did as best as he could, grabbed onto Quill, and opened his wings as wide as he could to try to lower their falling speed and let them fall as gently as possible into the water. This did, in fact, rip his poor wings to shreds, but that’s his own fault for trying to fly before they’d healed completely. So after finding out Quill doesn’t know how to swim, Nick drags both their asses back to shore, where Quill immediately Horrified about nick’s wings, which were ripped horribly, were bleeding profusely, and looked like they hurt a lot. Nick tried to shrug him off, but Quill insisted he help him get dry and patched up, and dragged him into his private room at the golden star.
And that’s how these two idiots became friends. They became really close, with Nick being the only other hybrid Quill had ever met, he felt really connected and less lonely, which was pretty great. He might have gotten a crush.
Ok so they might have hooked up once. Or twice. Or several times. They just had That kinda friendship, where its very much not a relationship, but they sure as fuck act as if it was. It went nowhere, mainly because Nick himself didn’t really want it to be a relationship, but Quill also never asked. If he had, they very well might have ended up dating, but he was just too scared of ruining whatever they had going on by acting on his feelings. He’d messed that up before once, so he tried to do different this time, and just wait and see what happened, instead of trying to make it happen himself.
And then Aleksander ???? Zakharov moved in. It was a series of events that just completely changed the entire situation, with Nick’s childhood crush, Luna getting engaged, he got very distant for a while. Quill guessed he needed time, and he did, but what he wasn’t expecting was for him to end up dating Sasha before they started really talking again.
Quill was fucking heartbroken, and it did take him a while to get over it. He distanced himself from them, and decided to try to focus on himself and his job for a while.
Now, 21 year old Quill was a sad lonely cookie, which sadly made him an easy target.
Raymond, so let us remember is 1)His boss 2) like twice his age 3) literally a mob hitman, decided that yeah, Quill is old enough to try to date, why not, he’s a consenting adult, right?

Quincy is, in broad terms, a sex worker.
He began his career by street walking out of need in his late teens, which was very much not ideal.
Soon after, he met Fabio, who offered him to let him try his hand at dancing at the Golden Star Cabaret . He accepted, and did surprisingly well for his first try, so after talking with the manager at the time, he was allowed to perform a couple times a week.
He got good enough that after a few months, he caught the attention of the owner, Raymond , who offered him a permanent position, which is actually pretty rare. He accepted, and has been working there ever since.
Quill is a pretty a-political person. He’s informed, and will be the first to jump at someone’s throat if they say anything bigoted, (as a hybrid gay feminine latino sex worker, he has a lot of shit from people to deal with). But he’s not interested in getting too involved.
Basically, yes he knows what’s up, yes he’ll go and vote and do his civic duty, but you won’t catch him out protesting anything (unless Nicholas Hayes drags him along, that is)
Quill’s a follower of the The Sun deity
