• True Purpose – Coatl is the architect behind the Grand High Priest’s belief in his own potential for godhood. Coatl provided the High Priest with the Keeper’s Rod, also known as the Ruby Rod of Asmodeus, which serves as the focal idol for the congregation’s prayers. While the High Priest believes these prayers will elevate him, Coatl knows they are actually strengthening Asmodeus, aiding in his bid to achieve godhood.
• Extended Life – Coatl has been granted extended life by Asmodeus, promised in exchange for his assistance in the fiend’s ascension. This is not the first time Coatl has undertaken this mission; his prolonged life is evidence of previous, possibly failed attempts to empower Asmodeus through worship and devotion.
