Ash went by Eihn (pronounced "Ain") before being rescued by Melden Inn.

Ash is social and outgoing, and pretends to be fearless. He stims constantly (he has ADHD), and his favorite stim shifting his hands into butterfly wings and flapping the wings.

Ash is motivated by his fear of losing who he really is. He is scared that because he can shapeshift, he will eventually loose sight of all the things that make him Ash.

Bottles up his fear until it comes out in huge, angry waves, acts like someone he isn't in hopes it will give him a sense of identity.

Ash is aphobic

Ash is skilled with daggers and hand to hand combat. He learned how to do these in numerous self-defense classes. The classes seemed to be the only way to get all his energy out each day, so his parents happily signed him up when he asked.
