George has Autism Spectrum Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and he is non-verbal. He also has Crohn's disease which limits his diet severely.

George does not interact well with other kids but knows a lot about how to interact with animals. He's often snuck into the zoo and sometimes the enclosures but has never been harmed by any of the animals he finds himself facing.

Reading about animals, playing with dinosaur figures, coloring, playing with animals he found outside, drawing stars, helping Joey cook/bake

George seems to be very well educated in zoology, but more than that, he seems to have some immediate connection with animals that even books can't offer.

Surprising no one, George prefers animals over other humans.
