Civilian - she normally aims for comfort over style, but still slays
Suit - her suit is mainly a light gray, with dark gray gradients on her hands and feet. It has white fur details on her ankles and wrists, and a fur collar that connects her colorful, waist-length cape to the rest of her suit. Her mask has orange, blue, and red markings around her eyes and forehead, and wide, blue, iridescent eyes. There is a large spider symbol on her chest in the same colors as her cape and mask details.
Kiera is usually friendly and cheerful, and tries to get along with everyone. She usually tries to prevent arguments and fights, often being the mediator. She doesn’t cry much, and she’s normally by herself when she does, as she never wants to show weakness in front of others.
- the death of her mother
- that’s about it really
- she bottles up her emotions, only to let them out in private later
- she tries to see the good in people, often to a fault
- overly optimistic in general
- acrobatics (duh)
- hanging upside down from the ceiling
- talking
PTSD
- can climb on walls/ceilings
- can shoot webs
- the colors on her suit, especially her cape, can disorient enemies
- enhanced senses/agility
Unnamed deceased person?

Let’s do this one last time.
A girl, who looks about in her early twenties, walks down the street, listening to music and humming along. Her dreads bounce slightly as she walks.
My name is Kiera Thatcher, and I work at a little coffee shop at the corner of my street. Nothing special, really.
A group of people passes her on the street, and the scene changes to her behind the counter at a coffee shop, happily greeting a customer. She leans against the counter and props her chin on her hand.
That’s how it’s been my whole life. Just nothing special. Until...
She looks down at her hand, visibly annoyed. She swats something off of her hand, then shrugs and looks back up at the customer.
When I was 21, I was bitten by a radioactive spider.
The scene changes to a colorful figure swinging through the city with her webs, her small cape flared out in an array of colors.
And for two and a half years, I’ve been the one and only Peacock Spider. I’m sure you know the rest.
She flips in midair, then lands gracefully on the ground.
I’ve been living the average life of a spider-person. I fought crime, lost a few people, and got a healthy dose of PTSD. Again, pretty average stuff.
The scene changes to her kneeling next to the dead body of her mother. They’re outside, and it’s raining heavily. She rips off her mask and screams in agony, her face covered in raindrops and tears.
I miss my mom. But I suppose someone had to die in order to make me who I am now. . .
About a year ago, I was visited by a few people. People who were just like me.
She’s now standing in front of a glowing portal, staring at it in awe.
And so, I joined the Spider Society. And that’s about it, really. Nothing super special happened since then.

- “Hi! I’m Kiera! What’s your name?”
- “The Peacock Spider always gets up. If I don’t, then who will?”
- “I miss her a lot. . . but I can’t bring her back, so why dwell on it?”
- “Stop being so grouchy, it’s not good for you.”
