Catrina was born on the elven island of Ancalen. It was clear from a young age that something was different with her, as her human appearance slowly shifted to become more elven and then green dragon scales began to grow on her body, and her eyes became more akin to that of a dragon as well. Neither parent exhibited this trait and neither knew of family members that did, but the elves knew that the influence of a dragon could sleep through generations in a bloodline and manifest only in certain special, chosen individuals. Thus they saw Catrina as such, and she was raised knowing she was special.

In her teens Catrina became involved in the drug trade running out of the elven island, volunteering to go with others operating in the wider world to help. She learned the trade quickly and by her early twenties was operating her own branch being smart and showing she was willing to use what she had to avoid getting caught or get out without repercussions if she was.
