Ia comes from a small sect of nomadic herders who seek to come to an understanding of the natural world through worshiping at various religious landmarks and helping others through their beliefs. Ia never had the knack for raising livestock, however she had an extreme interest in and understanding of plant life and their related studies. Unfortunately, her tribe was very conservative and as such she was set in an arranged marriage which would cause her to cease her studies and become a homemaker. Eventually, she decided to make her own way in life without the structure her family wanted, in a way that would show her much more of the world.
