"they can manipulate sound and it's path through space, make it louder or erase it completely. The more sound is around them the more they can do.
Because of that most of the time he's listening to music with his hearing aids (many hearing aids have Bluetooth nowadays).

"While seeing sounds makes it easier to locate it's source it over stimulates him easily. In those moments only Orpheus can calm him by wrapping his wings around Amadeus, shielding him from all the sound.
Another thing is that sound is hard to be exact with. And was in the beginning hard to control. The first time he used it he enhanced the sound of his mother's voice so much by accident that his hearing was damaged.
