Día
Her nickname, Día, was given to her by her brother Yuni. Día means "day" in Spanish. It references her skin and hair color, and it used to reference her personality as well. Yuro used to be a bright and happy child, but witnessing and experiencing the consequences of being a Hybrid affected her tremendously, so she decided to keep herself away from mostly everyone.
Diamante
Diamante was the middle name given to Yuro by her mother. It means diamond in Kordjo, an Kogre language.
Diamante
(dee-yuh-mahn-tay)
Her hair is long and curly. She is a natural blonde.
Slim and thin brown eyes, the same as her mother's, dart across her small room. She again, scratches her face, where her acne has started to appear, for the thirtieth time. Yuro sighs, and decides to leave her room to check her ramen.
As she sneaks down the stairs, her long, sharp nose starts to sniff the air of the spicy chicken ramen. She smiles, her two-toned lips stretching above her pale, round chin.
She has light biceps and is 5'11". Her skin is pale naturally, however it is even more pale because of the amount of time she spends inside.
Kajdasan Kogre (Father) and Seno Zekr & Elf (Mother)
She smells like chicken ramen because that is what she mainly eats.
- Her extra set of arms
- Freckles on her arms
- Light acne
A loud, dry cough.
She gives off nonchalant and passive energy. Yuro has always felt like a background character in her own life, causing her to hide herself in from others, in the background.
She does have the fair amount of fears, but what she fears most is being found out by the government for her hybrid blood. She knows she will be persecuted for it.
- Chicken ramen, of course
She was born to her mother and father in Amaline City.
First Memory:
Yuro remembers her father and her mother arguing. Her mother, sitting on the cold, hard floor of their old kitchen, weeping. Her father, his angry face, screaming at her mother. Yuro doesn't even remember why he was furious, but that was the first time she remembered her mother being hurt. Yuro cried, begging for her father to reconsider his actions. But he didn't listen, neither acknowledged her crying. He grabbed the large kitchen knife, which at this moment, looked the scariest it had ever been. It felt like everything was in slow motion; the knife floating towards her weeping mother's hip, closer and closer till it finally pierced her left side. The gut-wrenching sound of her mother's scream, her mother's blood, gushing out on the brown floor, the collapse of her mother sinking into a pool of her own blood, all this happening in a matter of seconds. The knife, bloodied red, falls and clatters to the ground. Her father, his face now fearful instead of angry, runs out the door, leaving footprints of her mother's blood behind. Yuro never saw her father again.
Yuni, who walked in on the scene at the last second, called the police and the ambulance. Luckily, they came in time and managed to save their mother. They all agreed, though never discussing an agreement, to never speak about the incident again.
She had a cat named Lorianne she adopted from the street when she was twelve, but it died. Yuro never had a pet again.
Siblings:
Yuni's her twin brother. When they were growing up, some considered it hard to believe that they could even be related. Yuro had pale skin, blonde loosely curly hair, acne, and was very unsociable and distant. Yuni had clear dark skin, thick black hair, and he was talkative, charming, and well-liked. Even with those differences, Yuni was the only one Yuro would talk to. Their twin birth must have made them closer to each other than anyone else.
None, no one likes her, and she doesn't like herself.
She never bothered to spare any of her time to make friends, and at her old school, people bullied her relentlessly. She never knew why.
Her brother is her best friend, and even Yuro is considering not using that label.
