Adopted Sister: Shea Tomatuk-Desmond
Cole and Shea were thick as thieves growing up. They would often go on adventures around their small little town and were notorious for bringing "trouble" everywhere they went. Cole always felt a sort of pride and responsibility being Shea's older brother and always made sure that she had the best life possible.
When Cole was 13, an 11-year-old Shea had begged for Cole to go on a walk with her. But Cole was in middle school now and he had plenty of homework. He said that he would join Shea next time, and Shea went on alone. It was that day Shea was kidnapped and disappeared without a trace. To this day, Cole blames himself for Shea's disappearance.

god is dead (he says while taking the longest drink of coffee you've ever seen)
Cole really doesn't have an opinion on religion. He doesn't believe in a god. If there is, they're dead and no longer cares. Doesn't like people who are super devot. Despises the missionaries that come by his house.
frogs
he and Shea loved to go to the Frog Pond when they were kids and going there reminds him of her. Cole loves to pick up the frogs and talk to them like they're people. the people of his town like to call him "Frog Man" because of this
Similar answer to the favorite animal, but the Frog Pond because of all the memories it holds. Cole tends to go there if he needs to get his mind off of things.
