Ray is a pretty relaxed guy. He loves to have fun and tease and party all day. However, he isn't like a total giga-chad who will challenge everyone to a drink-off. No, Ray's one who respects people's boundaries and usually makes an effort to make everyone feel inclusive. Overall, he's understanding, enthusiastic, friendly, and extremely resourceful.
However, he's pretty carefree. It's rare that he really finds a cause worth fighting for, but when he does find it, he will die protecting it. Ray doesn't like to be held down, and he doesn't like people trying to limit him. He usually doesn't need these limits, but he still doesn't want them there.
Ray rarely forms deep emotional bonds with people, preferring to know just a little about everyone rather than know everything about someone. He's a social man, but the second things get real deep, he's out of there. However, sometimes these deep relationships just sneak up on Ray and he finds himself neck-deep in the "will die for you" category.
Ray is also extremely resourceful and tactical. He prefers a lot of hands-on, do-or-die situations which makes being a war mechanic for Evangeline Base a perfect job for him.

Ray has four children, two with each of his ex-wives
Marriage 1 w/ Reine Kasango
Kamia Kasango:
Kamia and Ray are probably the closest out of any of Ray's kids. Kamia's always on the radio with her father, talking about her small business and how it's faring in this day and age. Ray separated with Reine when Kamia was five and a half and then he went to Vienna to fight in the war when she was fifteen, so most of her memories with her father are through a radio or a letter. Kamia really does want to truly reconnect with her father one day.
Mboya Kasango:
Mboya was too young when Ray left to really remember everything. Even though Ray was never there for Mboya growing up, Raymond still makes an effort to talk with Mboya and Kamia over a radio every other week. He does care for his kids.
Marriage 2 w/ Vivian Mande
Azalea Mande:
Leon Mande:
and then later, Marriage 3 w Haru Nakamura
Step-kid: Abel Nakamura
Haru Nakamura:
Haru and Ray met when Ray came to Evangeline Base seven years after Haru. At first, they were mere acquaintances working for the resistance against the corrupted government, but when a raid hit and the two of them had to work together to man a War Tank. The Evangelinions came out on top, and in their post-battle euphoria, Haru rushed forward to hug Ray. After this, the two of them became close friends. Ray told Haru of his four kids back home, Haru excitedly showed Ray a picture of his son and wife back at home in Srednyaya.
Three years later, when the war between the Evangelinions and the government of Vienna hit a slow point, Haru confessed to Ray of how much he missed his family back home. Ray agreed to go with him back to Srednyaya. However, upon arriving, Haru discovered that his wife had died merely days before and his child went missing. Struck with guilt and shock, Haru broke down right there on the doorstep of what was once his home. Ray held him.
When they returned back to Evangeline Base, Haru held a new air about him. A darker, colder air.
Somewhere along the way, Ray discovered his feelings for Haru weren't exactly platonic.
Marriage One: Reine Kasango
When Ray was living in Congo, working as a firefighter in his hometown and serving in the war efforts, he fell in love with Reine and with her, he had two children: Kamia in the middle of the war and Mboya shortly after. In the aftermath of the war, they realized that they weren't quite right for each other, but they remained civil for the kids. Eventually, Raymond couldn't take it anymore and he quickly divorced Reine and left to live in Vienna, where the war is still in full session. Raymond stays in close contact with his kids, but the relationship between he and Reine is heavily damaged.
Marriage Two: Vivian Mande
Ray met Vivian in Austria about four years before he left for Evangeline Base. They had sort of a whirlwind romance and Vivian quickly gave birth to her first kid and Raymond's third--Azalea Mande--before they got married. The managed a quick ceremony and lived with each other for about six years, on the fourth year Vivian giving birth to
