June 16th, 8:00 A.M.

Education - What is Araite ’s level of education?

Araite learned from Goddess of Life personally. She and her siblings were given special attention since they were the first Gods to ever be created.

Araite hated schooling, she had trouble focusing and never got good grades. She wasn't motivated to learn about boring subjects, and instead daydreamed about going outside to play.

Background - What is Araite ’s background?

Ariate, Eilore, and Nyaery were the first three gods Goddess of Life ever created. Ariate was crafted from flowers and soil to create a perfect being.

Together, she and her siblings grew up in an almost peaceful way. They would learn from The Goddess of Life and would play on Earth every day. Ariate didn't particularly like school, she would rather spend her time being carefree, and playful.

Ariate adored her older sister, she always wanted her approval and love. Her older brother was like her best friend, she would tell him everything, go everywhere together. Ariate was always dragging the other two gods along with her to play tricks on the humans.

As she grew she learned to love and care for all. Everyone who met her thought of the girl as a bright light who never failed to make them smile. As her brother began to master kilotai and take his place as The God of The Moon, Ariate decided it was time she would as well.

Gaining inspiration from her brother, Ariate visited The Sun. It was a perfect match, her magic came easily to her and she caught up to her brother and sister within a decade. She became known as The Goddess of The Sun and a favorite of humans.

Ariate envied the freedom humans had. To love, to travel, to live life to the fullest. Ariate worked up the courage to ask Eilore to see The Goddess of Life. It took much convincing on her part, but the question was too important to write it down in a letter of pass it through her sister. She was going to ask for a lover, and to have a child.

Goddess of Life agreed and used this as an opportunity to experiment with her creations. She took a deceased human soldier and brought him back to life. She made him into a god, known as Tygios. He would come to represent honor, pride, and heroism. He is a symbol of human wars and battles.

Together they had a child, a daughter named Hailoh. She would be the first angel to ever exist and become an important member of Hillius.

public Magic (Kilotai)
Kilotai:

Sonne (Sun Magic)

Details:

A craft in which the Goddess of The Sun, Araite, masters. This magic gives the user the ability to master and gain different aspects of the huge star in the sky.

Light touches almost every corner of Earth and The Realms. It provides light and safety to many creatures, darkness cannot exist without light to chase it away. The Sun majority of the time is responsible for this phenomenon.

Some consider the Sun a living being, like Earth, some think of it as less powerful than Earth, some consider it no more than a star. But one thing is true, it does have its favorites.

Sonne can be performed by anyone and for lower leveled abilities such as bending light, it is easily attainable and less time-consuming than most kilotai (only taking twenty years to perfect).

However, for those wishing to achieve higher power in this skill, it isn't a matter of time. It's a matter of whether The Sun likes you. Those favored by The Sun are known as the Lux.

The Sun is a loyal entity, no one knows how or why the Sun chooses favorites, but if you are somehow blessed, you can learn Sonne in a matter of years. This isn't a gift from Earth or a creator such as Ruiku or The Goddess of Life , but instead, The Sun tells you all its secrets.

This makes Sonne faster and easier to learn, which in turn makes you stronger. If you are to tell the secret to someone who The Sun does not favor, it sees this as a betrayal.

While it cannot take away kilotai from someone as it is a skill, The Sun will do everything in its power to see you are killed.

If two Lux were to use Sonne as a weapon against each other in a battle (although in history has not) it will shut down, not allowing any light to pass for its "friends" to kill each other with.

One of Araite's jobs is to prevent Lux from ever causing The Sun to shut down. She is the last resort on a very fragile piece of life.

Skill Level:

Parts of Sonne is considered an easy kilotai, but only because the very basic steps of light bending are easily attainable compared to more magics.

The more extreme parts of the magic can only be obtained by Lux. People who do not have the title of Lux may only be able to do advanced light bending, heat placement, focus, and burning. This can take almost five hundred years to master these skills.

If you are lucky enough to be Lux, your power is almost limitless. You can summon heat and create blinding light. Even with the favor of The Sun, learning Sonne can take many millennia, and even more to master.

Practice:

Sonne follows the rules that most kilotai follow. A person who has little experience will have to say a series of words in addition to commanding the kilotai.

A person with a higher skill level will not have to say the commanding words, but it will take more concentration and effort to perform the spells.

Limits:

To non-Lux, their limits mainly consist of energy cost. They can build up endurance for performing spells, but nonetheless, Sonne is a tiring kilotai. In addition, many users of Sonne have been known to have severe muscle pain due to heat cramps being very common.

To outsiders, it seems Lux can perform Soonne without risk, but, on the contrary, performing spells of this power can cause quite a toll on the body and it can easily get out of control. When performing heat and light spells, with proper focus, the body will become immune to these tributes produced by the spell (not from an outside source) but if one is not careful they could easily harm themselves severely. Another effect is eye strain, over the years often leading to vision loss and blindness.

However, other than resulting in death, none of these effects can stop someone completely from using Sonne.

Common Spells:

There are many Sonne spells that allow for different uses of The Sun's fire and light, all of which have a wide range of difficulty. Each has a verbal command that can be used for easier execution. Here are some common spells;

Light Bending [Fos Kabi] (F-hoes Kah-bey):

In order to bend light, one must focus their kilotai to their palms, which then reflects the light. To control specifically how and where the light bends will take more control and focus of the kilotai. The verbal command varies depending on a number o attributes including the strength of the light and the complexity of the bend but the most common one is "fos kabi".

Heat [Calor Kuume] (Cahl-Oar Kew-May):

There are many varieties of this spell. From simply heating up your hands to causing another person's body hat to rise dangerously, this spell can become very nasty very quickly. It focuses on heat particularly in a living being, and can rapidly increase it or decrease it. It can be highly advanced depending on the end goal. Its command is "calos kuume".
