Rune is such a special and unique person, he's mysterious, benign, kindhearted, sensitive, and vengeful. Rune is briefly attentive to certain topics that bore him in a conversation. Hence, he will get bored and tries to pretend that he enjoys it. His sensitivity is highly unusual, light cruel words and being negatively judged, truly harm him. Moving on to his strange side, he is full of secrets, and it's intriguing what or how he thinks differently from others.

Rune deliberately uses his emotions as a mask to hide his true feelings for someone and about something. The consequent confusion of overthinking about his true self will give anyone an ominous feeling. It's like he's a completely different person in his mind. This dark side of his doesn't apply to Mitch Rhionna, due to their strong bond and trust in each other. He also agrees to requests and suggestions against his will, with a smile, because he doesn't want to offend or disappoint someone.

Without remembering anything, the only thing Rune knew was that he was abandoned at such a young age. Stranded in Astra City, and grew in the streets of it. He was a lonely, heartbroken, and homeless child, all he can do is beg for help, in his everyday life. Until his life-changing day, while wandering in the Auroral Shop, a unique and charming female child approached him and asked for his name. He introduced himself, so she did too, her name was Mitch. She asked why he is alone, and he replied with a sad and straight answer. Mitch knew what she should do and asked if he wants to be friends, Rune's eyes widened, and felt surprised and light.

Before answering, he made sure that she isn't kidding, and she wasn't. He immediately agreed with a hopeful smile, without a doubt in his mind. But that's not the end of it, Mitch introduced Rune to her parents and told them a little about his life. Her parents are generous, caring, and loving people, and they know what's right and what's wrong. Not only that, Mitch's home has a spare and unused room. Her parents remembered about it and gave Rune a place he could stay for as long as he wants. Rune was left in tears of joy, and from the bottom of his dark heart, he thanked them for their extraordinary hospitality.

After Mitch and her parents, and Rune arrived at their home, Rune was observing and explored the place with happiness. Mitch's parents showed Rune his own new room, but first, they had to clean up his room. It was already at nighttime after they cleaned the room, and it was time for them to sleep. But Rune doesn't have any furniture yet, so Mitch's parents decided to buy furniture for him and told him that he was going to sleep in Mitch's room for the night. Rune thanked them once again, and while he and Mitch's parents were alone, talking, they told Rune a request. Their request was to be Mitch's first friend and best friend. Rune never had a friend, and without hesitating, accepted their request and also replied that he was only planning on doing it. Mitch's parents were glad about his answer and told Rune he can go sleep now.

After that extraordinary and heart-warming day, a lot happened throughout Rune's new life. Rune became a loving and trustworthy person and gained the trust of Mitch and her parents. Mitch is his first friend and best friend, and the same goes for Mitch. Rune waits for Mitch to go home from school, and greets her once she is back. They always go on a vacation in a waterpark whenever it's a holiday, and visit Mythical Valley for the Bonnare Festival. That's where Mitch and Rune met Luna, Remon, and their parents, and soon, they became friends, then became best friends after a long time. Mitch and Rune often visit Luna and Remon in Mythical Valley, and sometimes they pick them up and do activities in Mitch and Rune's home.

What happened to Rune during his darkest days? Or before he met Mitch? Well, he lived in the streets of the city, shadows of alleys, and trails of parks. He has two choices to survive -- first is all kindhearted and poor, he begs as a mere, powerless animal in the streets -- second is where all it's harder and fair, he'll rob for any food and water, and spite back if necessary. It's Rune's reason why he eats a lot, even certain of his friends' leftover(s) as he experienced and saw for himself the importance of nourishments. Now, with his painful memories, he is determined and primarily struggles for money whenever he had the opportunity to earn funds. This may be contrary to Rune's reason of struggle as a beggar, but he only did that as he fears pain and death -- Rune just desires sturmfrei or freedom, and pure bliss in his life. Back to the main topic, Rune once collaborated with troublesome teens in the streets, as means to earn money. His single objective is to steal specific items in return for the money in their agreement, which is occasional and occurs once again after a week or two.

Now here's the time when Rune's trust issues rapidly developed. As Rune and the teenagers were seemingly beginning to be friends, it's when the unexpected twist occurred. He was backstabbed, spited, and provoked as they simply explained to Rune that they no longer have use of him. Their last deal was a lie and Rune spent half of the day physically offended and emotionally shattered, lying on the ground in fragmenting sorrow and remorse for himself, until he fell asleep constantly shedding tears. The moment he woke from his aching slumber, the light from his eyes had faded away, his normal emotions have vanished, his mind and trust had been corrupted, and his dreams were devoured till in void. And at that point and in the following days, Rune displayed no hesitation or will to express his hollow self, until that particular fateful day Rune had deeply treasured. Rune concealed his true nature the moment he received a heavenly gift, and learn more about Mitch, and while he was at it, he subsequently deeply fell in love with Mitch and ecstatically locked his loyalty to her.

The following incidents are the origins of Rune's lack of understanding and concern for serious situations and actions, and of course, his intense trust issues:
- Betrayed by street "friends" and got beaten up by them
- Defenselessly kicked to the ground till he curls into a ball agonizing for stealing food
- Experienced a near-death experience from starvation that lasted for about a week
- Despised and judged by people with the face of sheer repugnant due to his unhealthy condition and appearance
- Nearly got ran over or hit by a car due to his unawareness of the surroundings caused by his distress and depression
- Occasionally pained that he's incapable of moving anywhere from his original spot
- Bullied by local kids throwing pebbles and stones at him
- Received a black eye for an attempt of stealing meat -- specifically steak -- from a butcher's shop
- And last but not least, observed people that are content with life, eating with satisfactory and a blissful smile on their faces, drinking without a care and concern about the world, and partially purchasing what they desire, as he starves and thirsts with dying emotions and a hollow mind.

An additional insufferable experience that utterly made Rune hollow, or unable to shed a single tear, originated from a past relationship that shattered his heart, thrice; in fact, it was the same person in the relationship that has done such actions. As much as how unexpected this is, the person he got into a relationship with was Luna. The time she finally confessed her feelings to Rune, permanently elated her. Her character changed drastically to an absolute feminine, and Rune didn't especially like it nor did he hate it.

A year and three months have passed, and that's when Rune finally acted out. But first, we need to summarize his heartbreaks; the first heartbreak was the time when Rune discovered that past Luna's statement, of Rune being her first love, was a complete lie. Rune was only three months into the relationship, but he was fixated on Luna. From what we know from Rune, he's loyal, sensitive, and generous; the loyalty he trusted with her, the promises he seriously created her, and the amusing and dark secrets he told her, are what made it emotionally excruciating for him. It only took an especially brief moment, for him to burst into tears that lasted for a whole day, from morning to midnight. Eventually, the next day, he's had enough of trusting and shedding tears for improbable words.

The second heartbreak begins with Luna's ignorance and selfishness. Rune was oppressed due to multiple tasks and responsibilities; however, Luna, on the other hand, ignored his mental suffering and constantly invites him to participate in her amusing activities. Consequently, this appended another burden to Rune's oppression and it irritated him. Rune wanted to vent everything out to Luna, but his kind-heartedness prevented him from speaking violently or truthfully. So, he spoke frankly with a tranquil mind, and yet, Luna didn't understand what he wanted or what he was trying to convey. Unironically, Luna still continued despite Rune's known situation. Hence, Rune went on a two-month break from socializing, which resulted in the second heartbreak.

Without further ado, it's time to summarize it; during his break, he'd usually contemplate and rethink his decisions, perceptions, and opinions, which gradually induced his sensitiveness and insecureness. Eventually, with only a few weeks in, he realized what Luna's behaviors and actions are conveying. So, once again, burst into tears; but this time, with remorse, spite, and aggression. Rune took the rest of the days in his break, to study what he learn about the fundamental truths of life, and reconsider what he received and accomplished. By the end of his break, he gave her a second chance by reconnecting with her again -- which consequently invoked the forthcoming heartbreak that would forevermore change his character, and awaken his species' mental ability to conceal their true minds.

Last but not least, is the third heartbreak; Luna's second chance lasted for three months, from a blissful start to a decaying conclusion. However, Rune and Luna eventually ran out of activities to do, and topics to talk about. Rune was content and blissful about his decision of forgiving Luna, but Luna isn't the only one that has changed during the break. Luna finally understood Rune's message, she matured and became preferably wise, she gradually took a deeper inspection into life, in conclusion, she decided to spend the time with other activities to give Rune space; which was the emergence of her current self.

Back to the main track; Rune needed another break, but this is due to the positive and negative changes in the physical world and his lifestyle. Luna assented and concurred with his decision, but this time, she's the one who'll miss him due to the new attachment they formed, but only negligibly. The break Rune decided lasted for four months, and it utterly changed Luna in a disappointing manner; Luna thought deeper and finalized that Rune doesn't want to be associated with her anymore, so, she took it all in and accepted the indirect "breakup". Unfortunately, for Rune, the moment he can finally socialize with Luna again, it was too little too late.

Luna already gave up on Rune, but Rune never realized it until a month has passed. The only way Rune found out about it, was through the observations he performed alone, and the major help that Remon insisted on giving. Remon sent Rune a screenshot of her conversation with Luna, "Didn't we already?" Luna referred to her's and Rune's indirect breakup. As Rune finished reading the messages, he smiled, immediately realizing that Luna never understood and trusted him at all. Remon had suspicions and reassured Rune twice, that he was well and all right; but Rune successfully deceived her. The night after his and Remon's voice call, the disillusionment, disenchantment, and disappointment-induced depression he concealed from her were unleashed. From there on out, Rune utterly didn't get any sleep from that night, or the next day. He didn't shed a single tear, his chest felt heavy close to the heart, and his head felt like it was going to burst as he yearns to wail for the last time. From an emotional start to a touching hollow end.

• Under no circumstances, someone MUST exasperate Rune, it will be their demise. In fact, Luna Hilance will even be intimidated.

Every time Luna Hilance arrives or gets a chance to see him, Rune would subdue and readily leave without a call or indication.
