Kulk are often exposed directly to pools of physis. Over enough time this physis corrupts their minds and bodies. This infection generates red streaks across their forms. In addition it also fills them with a raging blood lust.
Normally Kulk are a calm collected race; however, the infection drives them mad and the only way to quell it besides sheer willpower is drinking the blood of another being, which is only a temporary cure for the madness.
This Infection makes Kulk reckless in combat, often hurting themselves in order to be even more aggressive.
Kulks, while not not enraged, are great thinkers, politicians and philosophers. Otherwise murder is a viable career choice.
Kulk really enjoy athletic sports even when infected.
Kulks tend to be reclusive and paranoid.
Either of fear of being persecuted for a disease they don't have or losing control of the infection and hurting someone.

The Kulks used to be one of the most developed cultures in Ornares. Eventually a resource shortage pushed them nearer to the Depth where they would discover Physis. This substance slowly corrupted them and drove them to whee they are now.
Kulk mainly work among themselves. Infected generally work as criminals and assassins while the unscathed usually move away to avoid the infection, becoming wandering traders in the process.
