Esme was born to parents that were part of The Binder's Archive and that helped fuel her love of knowledge, building things, and most importantly blowing stuff up.

When that proved to be a bit too disastrous to be near books Esme was sent to The Order of the First Storm where her parents hoped that her interests would serve better.

Instead Esme ended up in stasis as punishment more often than not, until the Order grew sick of her and finally sold her to [[Deity-19169]] to get the gnome off their hands.

When [[Deity-19199]] came into power instead she freed Esme, letting the gnomish woman serve in her court. A mistake to some, especially since Esme still likes to make things blow up, but for now she's been more use than nuisance so Alicia lets her stay.
