As with many of her kind, Polaris was born in Mariv. Her parents were the town alchemists, and she was raised around alchemy all her life. As soon as she could safely do so she was taught to make simple potions with safe ingredients, allowed to use more and more dangerous things as she grew older and showed responsibility with what she was doing.
Now the responsibility of being the town's alchemist has fallen to her while her parents mostly maintain the garden that grows many of the ingredients used for potion making and give her moral support and advice where needed.
