Due to being melanistic, Tamarack is ebony, next to pure black. She has a lighter grey underbelly and snout. Tamarack has even darker gradients on her legs, head, spine, and wings. This makes her appear darker than she is, thus making her easy to spot from the glimmering snow. An upside white down arrow She has dull, golden wing membranes and ears along with grey (with light blue tinted) spikes. Tamarack has bright, gleaming gold eyes. Her scales are usually covered in snow, bits of evergreen leaves, and dirt in an attempt to camouflage herself.
Golden yellow
Dragon, IceWing
Small, wiry, lean, tiny.
One of Tamarack's most identifying traits is her black scales. If a dragon bothered to take a second look, she also has gold wing membranes and usually is covered in all sorts of stuff.
Tamarack usually brings excited, contagious energy whenever she goes. Hence, she's somewhat kind to everyone she meets. Tamarack tries to get herself busy whenever officials or older dragons are around, as she gets slightly nervous.
Before the Circles were destroyed, Tamarack wanted to climb up the ranks and prove herself as worthy. Now that the Circles are gone, Tamarack's just hanging around and helping the villagers of Eternal. The IceWing often wonders about the kingdoms outside of the IceWing territory and would love to visit there when she's older.
Tamarack is a friendly, kind, and creative dragonet. Tamarack proves to be hard-working and obedient, easy to push around unless the command clashes with her moral compass. However, she's a little aloof and drifts away from dragonets her age and does her own thing most of the time. Tamarack may procrastinate from time to time, putting off a project or mission until the last minute.
Tamarack is melanistic, meaning she is easy to spot due to her black scales against the white snow. This makes it hard for her to catch prey and play hide and seek. She sometimes disregards IceWing traditions, which may cause her to lose some respect from a couple of the other dragonets. Although friendly and kind, Tamarack isn't very social and gets mischievous, pulling as many pranks as she can whenever she feels like it.
Tamarack tries not to have any prejudices, although she's a little jumpy around anyone who was against Blaze in the SandWing Succession War. She dislikes any shady-looking dragon.
Tamarack's quite creative. Give her a set of paintbrushes and she'll get to work mixing something up. She is quite skilled at flying and climbing, as well as being observant.
Tamarack enjoys flying, collecting random things, sleeping, creating arts and crafts, eating, helping out, and sitting on top of objects.
Tamarack is true neutral, although she'll prefer to associate herself with good neighbors rather than evil ones.
Tamarack is melanistic, meaning she has a lot of black pigment than the normal IceWing. Otherwise, she has no (known) conditions.

During the Winter months.
Tamarack gained her education from her village. This education have been passed down from generations and thus slightly outdated.
Tamarack hatched during a bitter, cold month in the small village Among the Evergreens. Her black scales surprised many, as there wasn't any recorded melanistic IceWings in the past. Her parents quickly disowned her and moved to another village, but not before calling her Tar. The villagers, who've agreed to stay loyal to each other, were shocked and betrayed by this. They quickly adopted Tamarack and they all took part in raising the dragonet. They made sure to tell Tamarack about her parents, as they felt she deserved to know. Tamarack grew up in Among-The-Evergreens, happily chatting with her adopted family (although she took care to avoid the dragonets her age, as she felt they wouldn't understand her). One day, Tamarack was drafted into the IceWing army at a young age. She had to leave but took her ivory toy with her. While the army was moving towards the MudWing kingdom, a SkyWing troop attacked and Tamarack fled, to where she stumbled into Eternal. She lived there, thinking she couldn't go back because she fled the battlefield. Tamarack had a great first few months of her life, until the last weeks of the war. Eternal was constantly bombed, but at last, the war ended. Tamarack is currently helping Eternal rebuild from its ashes.
Black Bear had a Pine Marten pet. She had to leave him behind when she was enlisted in the army.
"Howdy! I'm Tamarack, nice to meet you!"
"Oh, I'm melanistic. Nothing too mind-blowing otherwise. Carry on with your day."
"Can I stand guard tonight? Pretty please? Look, I can stand really really REALLY still! Watch this!"

Currently living in Eternal, former Warrior of the 6th Circle, former resident of Among-The-Evergreens.
Blue, the color of the sky after a storm.
Honey
A small, walrus ivory toy she was given on her 2nd hatchling day. This was given to her by Ptarmigan.
Narwhal Spear. In fact, that's basically the only weapon she's ever used.
Pine Martens. Tamarack thinks they're cool.
Currently none at the moment, though she is helping the residents of Eternal to rebuild after an attack.
Ptarmigan - The two are on good terms when they last met each other. Tamarack sees Ptarmigan as a father figure and often came to him for advice. When Tamarack has a difficult time deciding, she thinks of what Ptarmigan would do.
Moonstone - Their relationship was a bit rocky from the start, as Tamarack somehow managed to annoy Moonstone. Tamarack once mentioned her mere existence (or in fact, anyone's existence) irritated Moonstone but the two care for each other just like any villager would. Tamarack thinks Moonstone is the most intelligent dragon.
Arctic Wolf - Tamarack respects yet slightly fears Arctic Wolf, Lynx's father. They haven't interacted much but Tamarack is willing to do what Arctic Wolf says, as she believes Arctic Wolf is a wise and excellent leader.
Winterberry - Winterberry was a sister figure to Tamarack. Ever since her parents disowned Tamarack, Winterberry would look out for Tamarack and help her learn about the world around them. Tamarack looks up to Winterberry as does as she's told. The two would often study scrolls together and Tamarack would come to her help if Ptarmigan wasn't around. Tamarack supported Winterberry's claim that Wolverine drowned while hunting, but was devastated when Winterberry disappeared.
Fireweed - Tamarack disliked Fireweed for his snooty behavior and mistreatment of her villagers of Among-the-Evergreens. She believes Fireweed isn't intelligent and avoided him when he visited Among-the-Evergreens.
Wolverine - The two haven't interacted much- mostly because Tamarack dares not to speak with Wolverine. She sees Wolverine as an imitating, fierce warrior and would often try to distance herself from him.
Parents - Tamarack never knew her parents but she despised them for abandoning and avoiding contact with her.
Gar - Similar to Arctic Wolf, Tamarack fears but respects Gar. Since she hasn't interacted nor known Gar, Tamarack is determined to appear hardworking in order to impress Gar and the residents of Eternal.
Residents of Among-The-Evergreens - Tamarack has grown up running around in Among-The-Evergreens. As such, she is familiar with them and they know her back. Tamarack is quite loyal to them, hence vice versa. She often mentions residents of Among-The-Evergreens.
Residents of Eternal - Tamarack knows little to nothing about the residents. As such, she is a bit more aloof than normal, although she is starting to warm up. Some of the residents are annoyed with Tamarack, but most of them have gotten used to her presence.
