Born to the elven capitol of Myrin, Rana was barely in his teens before his mystic powers began to manifest. Nightmares that he would tell his parents about would come true, and a few months later the first transformation overtook him. This is what caught the attention of The Sovereign Galen, who was quick to bring Rana to Tavnoin and have him join the other mystics.

When not being forced to serve the interests of the Sovereign Galen or be stuck in his transformations, Rana helped Minave Moonfall with her shop as he's always had an interest in alchemy and the chance to learn from one of the best is one he was eager to take.

Freed from the transformations by Zaela and her adventuring party, Rana hated being apart from Minave but did what he could to help put the skills he learned to good use. When Zaela became the new Sovereign and asked the mystics what they wanted, Rana declined to return to serve with the others. He went back to Minave and her shop and began to work there full time, happy to become an alchemist like her and let that be his life.
