Long, long ago Mitsu was an air elemental. Like many of her kind she was capable of granting wishes, and bound by the pacts of her kin to do so for any who possessed her lamp. Three wishes, with a few exceptions; no wishing for more wishes, and no effecting the free will of others.

Eventually an elven mage by the name of Alduin Trislee came by her lamp. He had such a hatred for goblins and their kin that his first wish was for the genocide of their entire species. There was nothing that said Mitsu could not end life, but killing an entire race based on the hatred of a single individual was too much for her. Mitsu refused, and was stripped of her powers. The laws that govern the djinn are strict, and those that could overturn them have no sense of morality - they didn't care what the wish was, just that it wasn't against their rules and Mitsu was refusing to grant it.

For a long while after Mitsu wandered in a daze, the pain of being made mortal almost shattering her mind. Then she came upon a camp of goblins in the Adresin Forest and they took her in, helping her back to mental and physical health. When she could remember again Mitsu knew more than ever that her choice to refuse the wish of the elven mage was right, and she decided to dedicate her time to helping those who had helped her.

Eventually, however, her past caught up with her. Alduin found her, imprisoning her in her lamp and turning he over to [[Deity-19169]] as part of a deal. There she remained, stuck in stasis until [[Deity-19199]] freed her. Fearing a return to the material plane Mitsu now serves as a member of Alicia's court helping out where she can.
