The Virlee house in Myrin is concerned with one thing, and one thing only - themselves. Everything they do is to further their own ends, and they don't try too much to hide it.

Tarron was promised to another house pretty much from the time he was born, the union of him and their recently born daughter would help elevate the status of both houses. Yet Tarron wanted nothing to do with love, he grew up reading the stories of heroes and adventurers and wanted to be one himself someday, or even just join the royal guard and help out that way.

But his family denied him combat training, insisting he should learn other things and be ready to be married as soon as he and his bride reached adulthood. Some of Diana Hawthorne's people in the city saw this, and saw how serious Tarron was to make that dream come true. They moved to get him out of the house before his 13th birthday, moving him to the Defier Islands to be raised in Diana's household. There he received all the combat training she could offer from some of the best instructors.

When The Sovereign Zaela took over Tavnoin Tarron went there to ask to serve with her. He was made part of the city guard, spending the years following quickly rising through the ranks until he made guard captain.
