Hi can I get a Modern sci-fi prompt that has to do with government conspiracy, plot twists and possibly super powers?

Hey! I'm looking for an interesting prompt that I can develop. I like to write dark fiction. I am open to any suggestions because I am out of ideas!!!

The government is secretly being run by the news, and they are giving out false info but no one knows this except the president, but the president is actually an alien, who controls the news anchors through his telepathic powers, and the main character is his head of secret service.
