Kitty Writes heres yours!
A young girl sat on a swing. Using her feet to gently swing herself. The grass was long, but her father never cut it. Said he never got time to. She heard shouting from inside the house and her stomach turned. They said they never fought.

She felt something warm behind her, and her hair stood up on the back of her neck. A breath. A whisper. “(name here)” she whipped her head around and fell off the swing in the process. Only to find that no one was there. Scrambling up, she examined a trail of footprints, leading from the swingset deep into the forest that stood behind her house. They weren’t there a minute ago. She turned and looked back at her house, listened to the raised voices. She heard her mother shout and her father shout and then the noise of something breaking. Probably her heart.

Her father sighed and sat down on the chair. A dish was broken on the ground and his wife had packed her bags and left. Just like that. Gone. He almost felt sad. “(Name here)time to come in now!” He shouted opening the back door. No one was there. “(Name here)?” He asked worriedly. He walked over to the swingset, one swing was still moving, creaking loudly. He peered over the edge of it, and to his horror, saw two trails of footsteps leading deep into the forest.

Something with fantasy? Perhaps a dystopian aspect to it? Just experimenting.

The message is recieved at excatly 17:36 on a Tuesday afternoon. The message that interupted intergallactic space stations, and the communication devices of the creatures underground. It was designed to change according to the being listening to it. It changed to whatever language that being spoke, or whatever language was their first. I, myself, was sitting in a coffee shop after work. The TV’s and radios went dark before the message was transmitted. Everyone was freaking out, shouting, running. But I was confused. You see, being brought up by an English family made English come easily to me. But my German nanny woukd only speak German and made sure I learnt the language at the same pace as I learnt English. So I was hearing both the German and the English message. And my god were they different.

My mother always told me stories. Stories of kings and knights and princesses that needed to be saved. This is how I became a writer. Well, not excatly this reason, but it makes this story flow better so we’ll go with that. Oh sorry, I didn’t mean to break the forth wall there. It’s just, what I’m about to write, the story I’m telling. It has no forth wall. These things are happening. They’re happening as I write this, as you read this. So I recommend you grab a weapon, because this story is very much real.
(Sry i know this isnt really what you asked for, just let me know if you want another instead!)

Heyyyy! Once again I find myself in this thread again :)
I'd like to ask for a Coraline/horror themed prompt, and don't be afraid to make it as dark as you want. Idk, I was just kind of curious aha.
