@croccin-champagne
all of my discussions say the last comment was like twelve hours ago even when the comment was likely a few second ago??

Does my comment look like that to you?
yeah. the time sig says 'in 12 hours', where it would usually say like 'two minutes ago' or something

This can happen when your computer clock is off or in the wrong timezone. For example, if you set your clock an hour forward and look at the forums, it'll say everything was posted an hour ago, and setting your clock an hour backwards results in everything showing as an hour from now.
This is because the server stores times in UTC, which doesn't care about timezones or what any one computer's clock is set to. When you load the page, your computer basically says "my clock is UTC+5 hours" and all the times are formatted for you, but still stored in a universal format for everyone.
that makes a lot more sense and zero sense at the same time, mostly because i don't understand timezones at all. thank you though, at least i know i'm not going crazy!
Don’t worry Crocs. We’re all mad here.
