Sup! Have you seen the movie? If not, here’s the gist: bubbly rich clueless girl marries scammer that she thinks is genuinely in love with her in order to spite her father. After that is broken off by being dragged away from the judge, she later escapes from her father and attempts to find her lover. Her father hirers detectives and cops to find her and she lands in the same area as a cynical reporter who figures out who she is and makes her a deal (with a little bit of threatening) that he won’t turn her over to her father in order for a day to day account of her story.
Little do either of them know that she’s will begin to see the real world and fall for him, while he will be bothered be sudden feelings he has for this dumb kid.
i have the wiki page open rn lmao, to get Details
i'm down to do it if you'll have me?
Totally. This is one is just chill. No need to feel you have to post a full paragraph. I trust your skill.
!!! heck yeah
is there a temp you want to fill out, or?
Probably, since we’re going to deviate from the movie. But I’m trying to figure out how much. Any ideas?
uumm…usually with something like this, i follow the bones of the plot, including the ending and even bigger main important scenes. characters follow the bones of the movie characters, but with twists and usually a lot more characterization lmao
Cool. You go ahead and write the first post, either when she is on her own or arguing with her dad.
alright! do we want temps then or are we jumping straight into a starter?
Oh yeah. Create a character that has close vibes.
ehjerherh you have a temp, or would you like me to grab one?
Oh frick I’m sorry. I’ve never done an Rp like this, plus I’m ignoring everything to try to write.
Um..

Add on if you want.
you're good! sorry i didn't get back to this for a bit, a lot of stuff has happened lmao
Name:
Liliane 'Lili' Vanderbilt
Appearance:
Naturally tanned skin, if a bit light. Freckles on her cheeks and nose, and light ones on her shoulders. Has natural golden blonde hair, but regularly lightens it to make it paler. She's about 5'7 regularly works out, though she favors running. Likes summer clothing, and of course, wears it incredibly high end. And continues to wear shorts into fall as long as she can.
Personality:
Very happy and bubbly. Likes having fun, even if that fun is a little bit dangerous, and is particularly fond of heights. Unfortunately for her, she's usually a very empathetic person, which makes her incredibly easy to manipulate. Normally though, it simply makes her a very kind and caring person, and she loves helping people, even if it's obvious they're using her. 'That says more about them, than it does about me, doesn't it?'
She does have a bit of a mean streak, though, mainly when someone is trying to hurt people she cares about. People like to tell her things, so she knows more secrets than anyone should, and will not hesitate to use that against someone if she deems it necessary. Might be a bit vain, as looks are important in the circles she runs in, so she was raised on caring about her appearance.
Other:
Really likes animals, and has a massive sweet tooth that she has to counter act with exercise. Carries her late mother's wedding ring on a cord around her neck.
let me know if anything needs to change!
Name: Harvey Jones
Appearance: Dark hair that is always short and looking immaculate, unless he’s been in a fistfight, which isn’t terribly uncommon for him. Skin that isn’t quite pale, but definitely on the lighter side, but thanks to walking outdoors a lot, never turns too light. His hands are almost beautiful, as if they’ve been carved of marble by Michelangelo, and his nails are always taken care of when possible. Tall, dark eyes, and a pencil mustache that can be overlooked. Dresses in dark suits and wears a fedora whenever he goes out, believing that the clothes make the man.
Personality: A little smug and cocky sometimes, but all in pursuit of a little good fun. Blunt and quick to criticize anything and anyone, he would hate to admit he can’t handle leaving anyone in need, though his clever side will try to get what he can out of the deal as well. At home anywhere except for what he calls Stuffy Places, places where rich people hang out.
Sometimes he prefers to have his motives remain secret, and tries to dodge questions, having a hard time directly lying to anyone, unless he thinks he has a good reason to or the person just gets on his nerves. He’s rather prejudiced against people with more money than him, and is naturally generous, though he sometimes kicks himself over it later, when he has to scrounge for easy food.
Other: Enjoys singing, especially with others, and loves a good crowd to show off to. He has a decent hand for writing articles and knows it, but is always on the lookout for a real hit to get him a position, after being blown out of his last one with only a couple thousand dollars to sustain him.
Just so you know, Lili is famous for her rich father and occasional escapes. Also we’re doing this in the past. Not historically so, but no iPhones.
i wasn't quite sure lmao, but figured it would be a possibility. do you happen to have a timezone picked, or would we just generally be 'close to modern, not fully though'?
and occasional escapes was very much factored into her developing personality lmao
dfjhdfj its just like 80s/90s or something
alright! what are the specifics of the scene we want as a starter? you know the movie better than i do, so
Well you can either do one where she’s arguing with her dad about her fiancé that he is sure is after her money and then have her escape. (In the movie she jumps from a boat.)
Or you can do her making her way to a bus after the above scene happened.
alright! how much do you want me to write, so that your character can come in and they can meet after at most a couple responses?
A decent number of sentences but no need for a Chunk. You can prolong beginning #1 and I could be the dad, or not and I’d have Harvey getting up to mischief before taking the same bus. (Btw there is a rather small seat that she will get to first while he’s arguing with a guy there about shoving stuff off of said seat.)
a seat on the bus?
okay! usually i'm known for insanely long starters lmao, it'll be nice to be able to keep it shorter. i think doing the beginning with the dad might set up a good bit of characterization and the relationship they have
