Hey there. I have two ideas that seem fun to me
The book you have been writing either:
1) sucks the writer inside the world of their own creation and must survive and return home. If they die in the story not only will it cease to exist but they author will die with the story.
2) The book characters, protagonists, antagonists and others come into the real world. Their powers are a bit less than before but the main goal is one they share: to find the person who created them.

One person is the real world writer and the other is the fictional characters. We can talk about plot once I attract some interest.

@gracehustle

(Either works for me, most of my characters would be from books that are high action and they would most likely act hilariously out of place and I would be happy to play as one of them unless you have a specific character you would want me to play instead)

@gracehustle

(They’re from a dystopia and are both part of a competition loosely based on something like the hunger games. Do you mind sharing what character(s) you are using?)

"Ah Writer's Block…dammit." a young man maybe college age said to himself as two notebooks lie open at his computer desk. His golden retriever skidded over to his side from his small but cozy home. The young man got up and patted his dog and asked in a typical baby talk voice "Wanna go for a walk Shadow?" and made his way over to his bathroom. He ran some water over his pale face and a comb through his strawberry blond hair. He pulled it into a man bun and put contacts into his hazel eyes. The young man then clipped his dog's leash to his collar and walked out his door, locking it behind himself as he made his way to the local neighborhood park.

(Do you have a preference if I start as if they're in the book for this first post? Then they can be zapped out and can start trying to find him)

@gracehustle

(Thank you)
Felix almost couldn't believe that he was looking death in the eyes, or at least the person who was going to end his life. Cossette was struggling a few yards away and was in no position to be able to help him as he blinked slowly. The scene didn't seem real, but the tip of the knife against his shoulder did feel very real. The shaggy brown haired boy holding it couldn't have been older than him, maybe the same age, but the look in his eyes showed that they had both aged years mentally. The metal edge slid across his skin in what seemed like slow motion, cutting through his shirt and across his chest, deep enough to immediately draw blood and painful enough to have Felix try once again to try to fight his way away from the boy.

Cossette was fighting a scrappy boy, both throwing professional punches and throwing each other around the wooded area. It hurt as fists connected with bodies, especially as she got distracted by Felix and received a blow to the stomach. Dang it, this fight might not end in their favor.

The last page that had been written in the notebook next to the tense scene in the other notebook was something like this:

Chapter 9- Tempest

Well today had been pretty stressful as the attacks on the barrier were becoming more and more common. I sent my sister Ember out to check the perimeter one last time before Haven was locked up for the night. I had to get morale back up among the members and wasn't quite sure how I was gonna do it. War games were off the table cause that was the last thing we needed our minds on. After several ideas swirled in my mind I thought that maybe something as simple as a free day with no classes and no work was the answer. Teens like myself could be teens, the adults could have their time away from the ankle biter youngsters. The youngsters themselves would have to be supervised but that was simple for Cal to do he loved the children. Alright! I've decided that we'll all have a free day tomorrow I wonder if-

the line abruptly ended as that was all that had been written on that page

@gracehustle

The pages only went on a little further, but there was still a lot that had happened in those pages.

Felix didn’t know how much blood he could loose before it was a death sentence, but right now, with blood spilling out of the open wound and only a little hope of winning, it seemed he wasn’t going to make it. The boy was relentless with the knife in his hand, and even as he ripped the knife out of his hand, the boy was ruthless with his punches. At least now it was even. Felix could handle even, especially hand to hand combat.

Cossett had seemed to get an edge, her arm locked around the boy’s throat as she tried to get him to pass out. Unlike Felix, she wasn’t one for killing her opponents if she didn’t have to. The boy wasn’t having it though, and with the few inches he had on her, he flipped her over his back. She landed hard on the ground, the breath knocked out of her as she scrambled to get up-

The sentence ended there, leaving room for things to be added or lost. Who knew what would happen.

The second notebook's pages fluttered back more and more pages, a bright light forming in the pages and each word glowed gold. The pages fluttered faster and faster until the light filled the whole room until there was a flash. A young teen boy and girl flew across the room, scattering the clutter that was on the writer's desk.

The young boy had wild blond hair and wore modern clothes. He had a slash mark across his left eye. His eyes were electric blue and were darting across the room "What the…where?…"

The young girl stood to her feet and pulled her brother to his feet "What did you do this time Tempest?" she then pulled her jet black hair into a pony tail and adjusted her bow and quiver. While the boy was dressed in a nerd culture tee shirt and jeans she was dressed in a olive grey tank top, camo pants and combat boots.

"Nothing…not this time at least Ember." he responded

@gracehustle

Soon after the second notebook glowed brightly, the first followed suit and spat out its occupants. Felix and Cossett were flung out of the library pages and landed inside the room, much to their shock. Cossett scrambled to her feet and looked with wide eyes at the other two in the room. Her clothes contrasted some either theirs, though her dirty gray shirt and thick leather jacket, paired with well worn and torn black pants didn’t seem crazy out of place. It was the twigs and leaves tangled in her hair that set her out of place, and maybe her leather boots. “Who are you two?” She asked, her voice defensive to match her stance.

Felix groaned in pain and clutched his bleeding chest as they landed, sliding into the wall and blinking slowly. Where were they? He stumbled up, leaving a bloody hand mark on the wall as he stood. His clothing wasn’t much different than Cossett’s, a black shirt with a long tear where the knife had cut through. His pants were also black, with mud stains and only a few less tears in them. The shoes he wore were probably the most like hers, thick and leather, very sturdy.
