"Walking," Pollux answered, "I'm not sure how long I'll last, though."
"Walking," Pollux answered, "I'm not sure how long I'll last, though."
Peyton nodded, "Probably until you can find more supplies right? Or another shelter?"
"Hopefully. I'm still in a lot of pain, and my stamina's taken a hit. I just want to find other people and a place to shelter, maybe some food and clean water. Seems like a lot to ask for these days, though." Pollux shifted his weight between legs anxiously. He was unsure whether they could find any of those things.
Pollux and the girl talk from behind. It made her miss Nico…a lot. She decided to climb up a tree and scout from there.
(I know most people know who your character is, @AmericasFavoriteFightingFrenchGirl_LAFFETTE! , but please try to put your character's name into each update.)
Cash watches Zoe climb the tree, amazed that she's still holding it together emotionally, as far as he can see, at least. He didn't deal well with the disappearance, likely death, of his family. He looks at the pale white scars on his palms. He has matching ones on his knees, along with sharp memories to go with.
He opens the locket that hangs around his neck, and for the first time in a while, really looks at the faces of his two sisters. Tears flood his eyes, and he quickly snaps it shut. He's thankful that he'd thought to grab it from his mother's dresser, but he hardly ever looks into it, with good reason. He tucks the locket back underneath the collar of his shirt, and leans against the tree the Zoe is scouting from. Some days, I wish this all would just be done.
Lila sank down, sitting on the ground. Her gun lay in her lap, which she stared at. She wondered what it had been like when Aberdeen died. She hadn’t felt it.
Yes you did. You just ignored it.
With a sickening feeling, she remembered a day a few days back //correct the time to whatever it was// when she woke up and immediately hurled. She’d felt sick for a few minutes after that, before being mostly fine - subtracting the heavy feeling in her stomach that something was wrong. She had blown it off as stress from the apocalypse.
Cash's eyes catch movement, and he looks over at Aberd-…at Lila. She doesn't look so good. He frowns. We're in the apocalypse, dude, no one "looks good". He sighs, leaning his head back against the tree, not knowing what to do anymore. Wow. What a change.
He wants to go over to Lila, and just say something, anything that will make her pain go away…but you can't help someone get rid of pain like that unless you've gotten rid of it yourself.
Eyes flicking up, she briefly realized that everyone in this group looked like they had no sense of purpose anymore. Just dead weight sitting here, waiting for some zombie to pick them off.
Take charge, Lila. She must’ve been going crazy, because that sounded like Aberdeen and not her.
“Are you Alright?” She asked softly anyways, looking at Cash. Take charge, take care, stay safe.
"Hmm? Oh, yeah. Yeah." He looks at her brown eyes and sees the same lostness in them that he feels inside. He puts on a confident, nonchalant persona. "As okay as I can be considering. You?" He moves so he's standing instead of leaning against the tree.
(Hi, I can't be online but I saw Cordelia, she's awesome!)
Peyton look to Pollux, "Some days it feels like this will never end. Other it feels like nothing changed. But it has and I'm scared for the future."
(Thanks!!!)
"I think we all are. We just have to keep pressing forward, or we all die," Pollux replied. He sighed and paused for a moment. "Looks like we're falling apart though. Everyone's starting to crack under pressure."
"Hmm? Oh, yeah. Yeah." He looks at her brown eyes and sees the same lostness in them that he feels inside. He puts on a confident, nonchalant persona. "As okay as I can be considering. You?" He moves so he's standing instead of leaning against the tree.
Ripped in half. Broken. Lost. Lonely.
“I’m more or less fine. I don’t think I ever caught your name,” she said, looking up at him.
"Then maybe new blood to the group is a good thing," Peyton told him, "Maybe we'll be able to bring the group back together."
( WHY DO I ALWAYS MISS OUT ON EVERYTHING?!?!?)
"Oh, it's Cash." He smiles politely, feeling like it turns more into a grimace. "And you said you're Lila."
(Wait whats happening or all of you still talking.)
"That's what I'm hoping," he muttered. Pollux tried to look a little hopeful. "Hey, so we should try to make a plan for where we're going, yeah?"
(Wait whats happening or all of you still talking.)
(That's it. I don't think you missed anything)
“Yeah… I’m Aberdeen’s twin sister… if that wasn’t, um, obvious,” she said, mentally kicking herself.
Cash nods, smiling at her slight awkwardness. "Yeah," he looks her over again, hoping it doesn't look creepy. "It's pretty obvious."
(Alright then.)
Zoe looked down at all the people talking. She wanted to join them,…… but she couldn't. It made her feel even more hollow. She slid down the tree and started walking to who knows where. She knew it was dangerous, but the threat of zombies seem little to the cowboy.
Pollux from the corner of his eye saw Zoe begin to walk away, and his attention broke away from Peyton. "Zoe! You are not allowed to leave us behind! That's how everyone got killed yesterday, you know!"
Cash hears Zoe moving down the tree and steps aside so she doesn't step on him. When he sees the distance that she makes between her and the rest of them he he calls out. "Hey, Zoe!"
Zoe flinched a little and turned. She said nothing. and continued walking in sorrow.
