Jasper tried to scream but settles for turning and running blindly out of the crowd instead. His mind was a mess of Phoebe Teresa got to get to Teresa- PHOEBE she’sdeadshe’sdead it’s on you p h o e b e
He crashed into someone (pretend it’s Teresa?) and tried to move past without any more explanation as to why he was running, crying, from the execution of someone he should be cheering for the death of.
Heath was caught up in his thoughts for a second before noticing that the place where Jasper was, was empty. Damn it! Where did you go?! He screaming in his mind as his head whipped around, seeing Jasper he ran after him. Aha! Found you! He thought, trying to have steady breathing.
(Sure)
(yaY.
I didn’t see this whoops. ;w; Sorry.)
“I’ve been waiting for you.” Chelsea jumped down from the tree Teresa was previously hiding in, “They left. Teresa noticed you left and we’re going to rat them out, so they obviously ran.”
(Chelsa better lecture his ass.)
(Perhaps. ;p)
Cade jumped as Chelsea appeared out of nowhere, whipping around and almost stabbing her with his knife. Once he realized that it was just Chelsea, he sighed and put his knife away. "Good. The guards are probably on their way."
Chelsea raised her eyebrow, “Good? You were the one who ratted them out. Speaking of which, we should probably walk away from here. I have two things to tell you. First of all, that was a terrible, terrible idea. You should’ve taken the long way to go to the castle so it looked like you went back the the village instead of heading straight to the castle. It burns time, but it’s the most clever.
“Second of all, what were you thinking? They trusted you! Are you stupid? Queen Alice. Queen Alice. Queen Alice. The crazy woman who kills innocent people with families just for fun. And sometimes, she goes for the families as well. Don’t you have a family? Stupid. You thought Queen Alice would give you a prize for telling her the location of her daughter? Are you stupid? It’s a lose for you and everyone else.”
"Unlike you and apparently everyone else, I don't spend my life spying on the queen to figure out what she's like. I thought she would be easily persuaded." Cade replied, his voice a lot quieter than he wanted it to be. Chelsea was scaring him a bit. "And yes, I might have made a mistake, but I realized that what I was doing was wrong as soon as I saw the queen's face. She's probably after my head now too, so we're all in the same boat."
"Scarlet?" Nykidia said shaking her. "We have to go. She'll probably go to my dad's or the kings house after this. We have to go."
Chelsea shoulders tightened up, she choked out, “Spying on the queen?” She forced a laugh, then the laugh became a genuine crazy laugh. “Me? Spy on the queen? As if! That doesn’t benefit me at all!”
She stopped laughing and studied him like a tiger would study its prey, then sighed with a crazy smile. “She’s definitely after your head. Now everyone is in danger-“ Chelsea took a deep breathe, “I mean, you can just feel the chaos filling through the air! And you’re right about one thing-you made a terrible mistake.”
"Thanks for the vote of confidence." Cade mumbled, rolling his eyes at her. He used the sleeve of his jacket to wipe the blood from his cheek, where the scratch wound from Alice had stopped bleeding.
“That’s my job.” Chelsea grinned, “You’re bleeding. Got cut by Alice’s knife?” She knew the answer but she asked it anyways.
"Her nails, actually. Don't worry, there was still a knife involved." Cade replied, rubbing his neck where the knife had previously been.
“Hm.” Chelsea nodded, “I’ll give you two options: listen to my lecture here or listen to my lecture somewhere else because Alice is totally going to send people over. So, what will it be?”
Cade sighed. "If I have to choose, I choose to be lectured somewhere else. If I die, it won't be by the hands of the queen."
“Smart choice. Where?”
"Somewhere safe, so basically anywhere that isn't here." Cade responded, nervously looking around for any signs of trouble.
Chelsea sighed, “Any preferences?”
"Nope." Cade bit his lip, thinking for a second. "Actually, we should go meet up with the others. I probably need to apologize."
