(now I feel bad for making Elodie sneak out—)
(honestly if you want, it didn't affect much you can kind of just take it back and like make it to where maybe she just went up to the roof and she sees Jesse from up there? bc she hasnt left yet)
June smiled, "well nice to meet you, Evan, I am June. Glad you are choosing to stay, though if you cross me I can use about anything as a weapon so.. I'd watch your back" she siad with a polite grin before going back to Darius.
"Uh its nice to meet you too June." He smiled at her, having to squint at her name tag just a little bit before saying her name.
"Oh don't worry, I don't intend on crossing or fighting anyone. It's really not my thing and I'm just not good at it.'
(changed of plans guys, Elodie's just on the roof)
Elodie made her way up the stairs, wincing with each step, she made her way onto the side roof and sat down, close to the edge.
She watched the decay, chaotic world from roofs sometimes, it was one of her favorite things to do, she let her feet dangle of the side.
June nodded politely, then grabbed Darius arm she led him back over to Evan, "Darius, this is Evan, hes a new friend" she said softly, "Evan, this is Darius, he has memory loss and will forget who you are quite often, hence the name tags."
He waved at Darius with a smile, "ah alright. Yeah I can't imagine that would be good for something like this going. I kinda understand though, I'm partially deaf. It's kinda getting around when you can't hear everything."
He spoke, hoping that was the answer they were wanting.
June nodded, "Well, I can understand that, I used to have a deaf mute friend ages ago, before all this." she shrugged, patting Darius' arm, "mind keeping Darius company for a bit? I want some alone time you know," She walked off before Evan could answer.
Darius kind of stood there for a moment, and then shook his head, coming back to the world, he looked at Evan, "hi…have we met?" He asked, pulling out his notebook and pen, writing down Evan's name and doing a quick sketch of him.
Cass watches for just a second as she cut into the strawberry, making sure she didnt do anything shady with the knife while she had it.
Once it was sest on the counter, he picks it up and sets it into the sink, making a mental note to wash it off later.
Ophelia smiles wide "thank you!!" she exclaims, turning around to get some more for them. Cassius stops her "hold up hun" he says "we only have so many. How about we go ahead and eat some of the soup i made? It's almost done heating up" he says calmly. Ophelia doesn't seem phased by the fact that she couldn't offer the girls more strawberries.
"okay! do you guys wanna see the backyard?" She asks the girls
Cass sighs "you dont have to. If you would like to rest you're more than welcome to"
Jesse doesn't think much of Gus hurrying her out of the building "okay?" she says with a shrug, turning away to walk out of the building. "make sure to get your dog a rabies shot" she says before exiting the building. She pauses at the front of it, looking around to see which way she came from.
(sorry for the short response. Im leaving reaction time so Elodie can see Jesse)
Elodie spotted a figure walking out of the doorway of the building.
She stared for a second before she recognized who it was.
"Jesse?" She said very loudly, loud enough to hear, then clapped a hand to her mouth, mentally cursing herself for being so god damn loud.
She caught the water bottle, but not as well as she would like. Then again she's just not good at catching things in general. She drank some of the water, before tossing it back to him. It helped to push away the light headed feeling she had from her arm.
"Yeah, I totally get it. I hope there's at least one in this town, I could use some supplies.'
"This would be a pretty shitty excuse for a town if there were no stores," Travis scoffed, taking a swig from the water bottle before tucking it into his backpack. By now they were walking along the main road, passing gutted buildings and peeling street signs. A small tree had fallen at some point, blocking the way, and Travis clambered over it without slowing down. "Guess I need a new crowbar too. I lost my old one to that screamer just now. It was funny though—dumb thing won't be breaking free for a while." He stopped to wait for Tap, glancing back at her. "So have you always traveled alone like this? Or did you start out with a group?"
Gus closed the door when Jesse left and immediately slid the makeshift bolt across, locking it with a sigh of relief. Then he dusted off his hands and went back over to the others. Evan seemed to be chatting peacefully with Darius, so he crouched down next to Jez for a moment.
"She's gone," he said quietly, eyeing Jez to make sure he was at least stable now. "I saw Jasper run off somewhere so I guess I'd better go find her 'n make sure she's okay. You know where to find food 'n water if y'want it." There was still a certain stiffness between them, but Gus did his best to set aside his feelings until they both had time for a real talk. He didn't hate Jez—he just wanted to make it clear that he felt a bit mistreated.
(stopping here in case Jez wants to reply)

(Lol I highly doubt Lyn could do anything shady with a knife)
Josefine quickly finished the strawberry slice, while Lyn was a bit slower. They both watched Cassius and Ophelia with amusement.
“Ah, yeah I think we’re both tired,” Lyn said with an apologetic smile. Sef nodded. “Um, we can look at the rest of the house though, and then maybe settle in a bedroom or something?” She glanced to Sef, and she nodded again.

She nodded walking alongside of him, she didn't look around as much more so like quick glances before looking back towards him, then faced forward.
When they got there, she saw the direct object infront of them. She reached out her hands felt it, realizing it was a tree. She hoisted herself up, and slowly made her way over it before moving to go back to being next to him.
"I have been alone a while..I ran into some people but I eventually had to leave because they didn't want me with them." She sighed softly, frowning at the thought of what happened.
June nodded, "Well, I can understand that, I used to have a deaf mute friend ages ago, before all this." she shrugged, patting Darius' arm, "mind keeping Darius company for a bit? I want some alone time you know," She walked off before Evan could answer.

He nodded to June, become turning to Darius with a soft smile.
"We haven't no, I'm Evan just incase you cant see the name tag." He spoke softly, making sure to be looking directly at Darius.
Darius smiled softly, "I am Darius, I uh..June probably already told you that I have memory problems" he put his notebook back into his pocket, "Its nice to meet you"
(im so sorry i died omg)
Jez watches as Gus shoos Jesse away, thanking God she was leaving, if there even was a God out here in this bloodbath they call earth.
He doesn't look Gus in the eyes, almost relieved to hear he was going to leave. Not because he didn't like Gus but because he didn't want Gus to see his face when he likely bawls his eyes out. Yeah, Jez was a baby and was very quick to cry. But he would rather slit his own throat than let anyone else see, or even know about it.
He nods, "yeah i do" he says softly, still not looking him in the eyes.

Jesse whips around to the sound of Elodie's voice calling her name. First she went into defensive mode, her hand on her knife and it was halfway out of the sheath already. Though after a bit further investigation, her eyes catch Elodie on top of the roof. Her chest feels heavy all of the sudden and she immediately slips the knife back into its sheath at her waist. "Elodie?" she calls as if that would make it seem more real. She looks around for a way to get on top of the building but assumed there was only a ladder on the inside of the building. And the people inside she knew didn't like her too much.
-
Cass nods "oh of course. you've seen all of downstairs and the bedrooms are upstairs anyway so if you want to you can follow me and I'll show you where you can sleep" Cass offers, already heading towards the living room to get to the stairs.
(sorry Cass's is short)
Elodie smiled politely at Jesse.
She held up her index finger in a one moment gesture. She stood up, hobbling back down and out the building.
"Hi." She said to Jesse once she was closer.
(It's ok Write, glad to hear from you! I'll try to post a reply over my lunch break ^^)
(Yeah it’s okay! And it’s alright Cass is short, mine was short too!)
Satisfied with Jez's reply, Gus pushed himself back to his feet and made his way to the back of the store where he'd seen Jasper run to. Hopefully she'd be willing to talk to him at least a little.
"Jasper," he called quietly, poking his head into the staff room and looking around for her. He wasn't sure exactly where she was hiding, and part of him worried that she had left the building entirely, which would not be good at this hour.
Travis watched Tap with a slight frown as she spoke, pausing on his way down the road. "Hold up, why didn't the group want you around? Did you get in a fight or steal from 'em or something? I mean…I don't necessarily blame you, but it seems weird that they'd kick you out and make you travel all by yourself without a good reason."
Gus could hear sniffling come from a nearby storage closet, she was in the farthest back corner behind some supplies as she held her knees. Her eyes seemed to be shadowed over, underneath the shadows she just seemed to be staring straight forward with wide eyes.
she was slightly shaking every once and a while.
Tap seemed to look away,
"no, i didn't do any of that they stated I was too much of a burden to them, they were surprised I wasn't dead yet. that, maybe by some mercy I would die and wouldn't have to live through this hell." she sighed, "so I have been traveling alone for a good while."
Darius smiled softly, "I am Darius, I uh..June probably already told you that I have memory problems" he put his notebook back into his pocket, "Its nice to meet you"
"Yeah she did, she also told me about how not to mess with her." he chuckled nervously, "its nice to meet you too."
"Yeah she did, she also told me about how not to mess with her." he chuckled nervously, "its nice to meet you too."
"Ah," Darius nodded, "She can be a bit overprotective of me, I am the closest thing to family she has left I think" he shrugged, "Do you have any hobbies?"
"That's understandable though. I can imagine I would feel the same if I still had some family left." He thought for a moment before speaking again.
"I mean, it is the apocalypse. I haven't had much room for hobbies."
"Yeah, she did have family, but he died not to long ago" He said softly, being back to his normal self, something more common now. "I meant like before..I used to play drums." Darius shrugged.
