Jez looks down at his arm as Gus touched it, his nerves relaxing a bit around Gus.
He nods, pursing his lips together "alright…just" he looks back to Gus, his eyes meeting his. "Be careful. I know we've both had plenty of experience with screamers. But not a-" he pauses, "not a mutant." He finishes.

Jesse shrugs, not caring much for the people that might have been in there.
But she realized Elodie did.
"Lets get closer." She says looking to Elodie. "I vant to kill something" she states

June smiled softly "you were the first one to trust me, If I didn't trust you it wouldnt be right, besides you welcomed me, when… the others didn't" she thought mentioning Jez might be bad, as he had done something to upset jasper in the first place.

Jez looks down at his arm as Gus touched it, his nerves relaxing a bit around Gus.

"I'll be careful as a mama crocodile," Gus promised. "I didn't get this far by takin' chances."
As he turned, he noticed Darius for the first time. "Oh, hey kid. Listen, you stay here with Jez, alright? I don't want you gettin' hurt." Walking to the door, he tapped on it, hoping June and Jasper were still okay. "It's Gus, I'm comin' in," he called, then opened the door and slipped inside.

Darius looked at Jez for a moment, "are you Jez?" He asked after a moment.

Jez sighed, "fine. Tell me if anything happens" he says, still frustrated.
He let Gus go, an uneasy feeling turning in his stomach as he walked away.
He swallows hard, every bone in his body telling him to go with him. Telling him something bad is going to happen and he could have stopped it.
But he stayed where he was, his head pounding in his ears.
He turns to Darius, wanting to glare at him. Though he couldn't. He didn't do anything wrong. The only reason why Jez didn't like him was just because he associated him with June.
He nods "yeah. Darius right?" He asks, not wanting to talk but forcing himself to get his mind off of that…..thing that in the store.

She sniffled looking away, "i t-told you…i-I u-understand…p-plus you R-really d-didnt seem l-like y-you w-wanted to h-harm anyone..' she looked forward at june, calming down slightly before she heard Gus push the door open and she scooted into the corner her gaze dropping down to the floor.

Gus saw June crouched on the floor and caught sight of Jasper just before she moved out of sight. He closed the door quietly behind him, then took a step sideways along the wall so he could see her again without getting close.
"Hey….Jasper?" He tried his very best not to sound threatening. "You okay? What's goin' on here? Jez tried to explain it but….well, I'm still confused. I know y'don't trust me yet, but will you tell me what happened? I ain't gonna hurt you."

She lsitened as he spoke, wtavhing his feet as they moved even though she wasn't exactly lol straight up at him, she looked at the wall simply shaking her head at his first question.
She took a deep breath before exhaling "W-woukd y+you b-believe me..?"

"Well sure, if you tell the truth," Gus said, crouching down and lacing his hands together in a relaxed manner. "I've seen some darn crazy stuff in my life. You'd have to try pretty hard t' surprise me."

June let Gus talk, not moving but carefully watching Jasper, if it came down to it she would protect the girl, even though doing so might get her kicked out of the group.

Darius nodded, “do you know what is going on?” He asked Jez, having no idea where the others went.

She nodded, she watched him carefully with each motion she did analyzing him closely.
"I was….e-experimented o-on…f-for a m-majority of m-my life.." she stuttered out.

Gus's eyes widened. Experimented on? That didn't sound good. The way she said it, it sounded downright horrible. He nodded slowly, keeping his voice level. "Who experimented on you?"

"i-I don't know…h-he just…l-looked similar t-to you… As in like age wise… And s-size wise…" She figdeted a lot with her sleeves and her loose the on her sleeves.

Gus dropped his gaze guiltily. "I'm real sorry if I remind you of 'im. I understand if you don't want me around much unless I can prove I'm a good guy." Still, he needed more answers to get to the bottom of this. "Just tell me a little more and I'll get outta your hair. Jez said somethin' about you bein'….part screamer, or I dunno what. Is that true? An' does it come from those experiments the other guy did?"

June sat quietly listening, her eyes never leaving Jasper. This all made sense in a way that made no sense.

Jez sighed "uh" he debated on whether or not to tell Darius.
He shrugs,
he's gonna forget it anyway. Why bother?
He shakes his head "nothin. " He huffs, his eyes drawn to the door, trying to hear what they were saying. But between him and the metal door, he couldn't hear much, if anything at all.
"Youre girlfriends in there though. Might wanna make sure she's safe" he says, hoping to be left alone. Though he knew that most likely wouldn't happen.

Darius blinked “I’m gay….oooh do you mean June?” He said shrugging, “she is fine”
