Gus blinked. Right, short-term memory loss. "The name's Gus, I'm a friend. C'mon inside, we have spare food if y'need it. Also I gotta finish doin' surgery on my buddy."
(nooooo June T.T)
Gus blinked. Right, short-term memory loss. "The name's Gus, I'm a friend. C'mon inside, we have spare food if y'need it. Also I gotta finish doin' surgery on my buddy."
“Are you good at it? The surgery?” June asked as she walked through the door, dragging Darius with her.
"Good 'nuff. Couldn't make money that way." Gus led them inside and quickly glanced around to make sure everything was in order, then trotted to the 'staff only' door and knocked on it. "Jez? It's okay. The folks out here are friendly, I think. You can open up th' door."
June smiled sweetly, “my grandmother taught me how to, and I was the first aid person at our camp before it was overrun, perhaps I could help?”
Darius yawned, he had no idea the last time he ate or slept, and it made his memory loss even worse.
(I'm gonna wait for Write to get back and then I'll reply)
Jez turns to open the back door, letting Gus in and looking at the newcomers over before stepping aside for them as well.
Afterward, he immediately went to Jaspers's side, feeling somewhat protective of her, his free hand holding the hatchet tight, ready to swing. "Who are you guys?" He asks, glaring at them. Obviously not trusting them.
-
Jesse sighs, mumbling something in German before going to her, taking the bowl from her and holding it high so she couldn't get it, almost in a teasing way.
"I von't deal with drunk girl" she shakes her head, towering over Elodie.
(I'm so sorry y'all. I've been a tad busy TT.TT)
(no worries!)
"Well thanks fer the offer," Gus told June as the door opened. "But I think I got this one handled. I'll get back t'you if I need advice, though."
Bringing his attention back to his friends, he stepped forward and spoke quietly to Jez. "This here is June and Darius. They don' have a hideout, so I offered to let 'em stay here fer just a little while. Is that okay with you? I can turn 'em around if you think they're bad news."
Elodie widened her eyes in shock, then began jumping for the bowl, screaming
"I am not drunk!" in perfect, non slurred english, she finally managed to grab the bowl, where she hugged it to her chest and started eating it again.
"You can get cereal too, and im not drunk." She said matter of factly, turning around and walking into her room.
June smiled politely at the two, she took her bow and started adjusting it, it was not set right and it made her shots off.
Jez eyed the two as Gus spoke to him "no it's fine. Just keep them away from Jasper for now" he says quietly to Gus, his grip on the hatchet not changing.
-
Jess grumbled, following Elodie.
"El you can't just eat of ze food. ve've got to even it out if you vanna live" she says, coming into her room.
"Gimme," she says holding her hand out for the bowl, though in a way it looked like she was offering her hand to El's.
she better stop screaming too
Darius just walks straight into a wall.
Elodie gives a fake pout, jutting out her bottom lip in mock sadness, she handed the bowl to Jesse and said "noooooo my ceeeeereaaaaaaal" with a loud burp.
She then giggled uncontrollably, and she plopped down heavily on her mattress, she laid backwards, her back touching the bed, she patted the spot next to her indicating it was for Jesse.
"We should cuddle…no homo though." She said, a sly grin on her face.
Gus could see how tense Jez was, but there was nothing to be done about that at the moment. Besides, he might just have the right idea. Gus nodded and gave him a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "Will do. I'll be back in a sec to clean up th' last of those cuts on your arm." Then he turned back to June and Darius.
"All right, so–" he stopped and frowned when Darius ran into the wall. "Uh…..so why don't you two stay out here in th' main room and see if you can find any supplies you need? My pals here need t' rest and get some quiet time 'for they're ready to meet you for real. I'll be in shoutin' distance if y'need somethin' okay? Fair 'nuff?"
June nodded pulling Darius back beside her, “we will try not to bother you, besides I have a lot of things to explain to Dare” she smiled.
Jesse's face heated up to a bright red "vhat?" She exclaimed, shaking her head "I don't cuddle" she says, turning around to go put the bowl back in the kitchen.
She returns to sit on her bed grumpy, her arms crossed. She turns to Elodie, looking down at her "this's all you get" she says stubbornly, though tempted to lay down, her body sort from keeping watch all night.
She was a bit tired but there was no way she would let herself fall asleep with nobody else around but a drunk.
-
Jez nods, his eyes locked on the two new people.
"Thanks." He says, staying back and keeping his distance.
Gus hovered in the doorway restlessly, glancing from one group to the other, then decided June and Darius would be fine on their own for a moment and went to take a look at Jez's arm. "You okay?" he asked quietly. "You recognize 'em or somethin'? It's like they jus' walked in and told you they was aliens or somethin'."
Jez shakes his head "I just don't trust em is all. I haven't seen anyone but you and Jasper ever since this happened. Gus it's been years" he explains.
He had found a good friend in Gus and didn't see Jasper as a threat and more as a little sister. But these two he didn't know. And plus they had weapons.
"I'll try to be easier on em though." He sighs, his eyes finally making contact with Gus'
Gus gave him a considering look, then shrugged. "I mean, you got a fair point. We probably shouldn't relax too much until we know more about 'em. But so far they sound 'bout as lost and lonely as we were yesterday." He nodded at the spot where a few minutes ago he'd left his medical supplies. "Sit on down, I gotta make a coupla more stitches 'n add a bandage 'fore I can call your arm ready for action."
Jez looks at Gus for a few moments before sitting down, admiring his consideration and kindness towards others. Even if he didn't know him.
He holds his arm out "I don't wanna be useless a second longer so might as well" he shrugs, dropping the hatchet to his side on the floor.
Darius sat down on the floor against the wall and started writing in his notebook, his one way of remembering things needed to be updated.
June laid down on the floor laying her head on Darius’ lap and falling asleep.
(Lol sorry i wasnt on for so long i had to walk home from the bus stop-)
Jasper was hesitant to do so and probably waited as long as she could before realizing Jez wasn't going out there and swiftly returning to his side, clinging to his good arm and slightly hidding behind him, staring down the new comers and being extremely suspicious of them and untrusting like Jez was. She moves to stay next to Jez, but allow room for Gus to keep working on his arm, still staring down Darius and June from time to time and studying them.
(It's all good! Glad to have you back ^^)
Gus sat down and methodically picked up where he'd left off, washing is hands and needle once more just in case. He only had to stitch up one more small cut and then he could cover the entire wound in healing salve and protective gauze. Seeing that Jasper still looked just as wary as Jez, he offered her a smile. "How you doin', kid? You need anything? We got plenty 'o food 'n water 'n stuff, you jus' gotta ask."
(Glad you made it home safe ♡)
Jez smiled a bit when Jasper came to his side. He was glad he could be somewhat of a comfort to her. Especially after what she's been through. And thats only what he saw. He had no idea what her life was like before this.
And he wasn't about to ask either.
He looks to his arm, taking a sharp breath in as the needle went through his skin a few more times.
