"Ha ha, very funny." He growled angrily as he thanked the desk attendant and started walking out of the prison.
"Ha ha, very funny." He growled angrily as he thanked the desk attendant and started walking out of the prison.
He rolled his eyes and quietly followed Jax out the prison.
He walked out to his car, which seemed to have gotten painted again, unlocked it, and hopped in.
He got into the passenger's seat and looked out the window.
Jax jabbed the key into its hole and started the car. Shifting the shift, and pushing down on the gas they gently rolled from the prison's parking lot, driving down the desolate highway in silence; music was playing when Leon got in (some kind of hard rock), but Jax had turned it off.
Leon turned it back on because he didn't the car ride to be awkward.
Jax frostily pressed something on the steering wheel, and Guns & Roses faded off of the system again.
Leon sighed and looked out the window
The terrain out the window was a desolate as Jax's current affection for Leon (greatest simile). He remained silent until four hours later when darkness fell and he pulled over into a motel parking lot.
"There's not much around. I'll get you a room, wait here." He stood up and got out of the car, and slammed the door shut behind him.
He nodded and leaned back in his seat with a sigh. Way to go, Leon. He probably hates you because he had to spend his hard-earned money on you.
A good twenty minutes passed and Jax came out from the motel and opened Leon's door and handed him a key. The brief moment their hands touched, Leon felt that the skin on Jax's hand had grown rougher.
"It's room 245." He said as he straightened up.
He nodded, without even saying a thank you, and left to his room.
Wow nex morning.
Jax woke up early, got redressed, checked out the rooms, and went out to his car, and waited there, getting the car cooled down. He played some music as he waited, not expecting Leon to be awake until later.
Leon woke up early, since he was forced into in prison and is now used to it, took a shower, and put on the clothes from yesterday since he has nothing else, and went out to Jax's car.
Jax spotted him walking out and quickly turned "My Michelle" (good song btw), off and shifting the stick shift.
Leon quietly waved at Jax, "Will you answer my questions now?"
One of Jax's hands twitched on the wheel. "Why do you care?" He kept his gaze firmly on the road.
"Because, I hired you." He looked out the window.
"I think we are not… hm… hand-in-hand anymore. I recall your father telling me if you ever got caught you would be damned as a criminal. You'd have to live on what you have."
"If we're not hand-in-hand anymore, why did you bail me out?"
"That is also what your father told me to do." He scowled at a passing sign. His father really did nothing of the sort.
"But didn't he die after I hired you?"
"No," Jax said frostily. Asshole doesn't even remember when his own father died.
"Yes, it's been 5 years, 10 days, 2 hours and 10 minutes since he died."
"And thirty-two seconds, yes, I know. He met me when we were in college."
