Bastian squinted at the fox for a minute. "Coffee hasn't kicked in yet, so I don't know if I'm seeing a furry or a shifter," he mumbled, more to himself than to the others as he ran a hand through his hair. Normally he would be gladly jumping into a fight, but he was just too tired for that right now
Arvie extended a hand.
"Arvie Reinhard, at your service." He introduced.
"Bastian Adler," Bastian responded, shaking his hand firmly before letting it drop to his side. He glanced back into the building, only just starting to feel awake from the unreasonable amount of caffeine in his coffee. "So…am I allowed to ask about the children of the corn now?"
"If you want." Arvie called. "But it's far from pleasant."
“Sorry to break up the party, we should probably run before the others come.” Kaitlin said, walking over to the two guys.
(lowkey might go to sleep soon)
Bastian rolled his eyes. "Please. Unpleasant is my second specialty," he sad before setting his hands in his pockets. He glanced around the others, slowly registering the different non-humans around him
"Can't you see them… Watching?" He said, pointing to the door of the warehouse, where three children stood, enraptured in shadow.
"If they were gonna fight , they'd have attacked already." He explained. These are the underlings of the HTO. Once human, but twisted due to horrid living conditions, cused demon blood, and brainwashing into unimaginably twisted things."
“Who are you guys anyway?” Kaitlin asked, crossing her arms.
"Depends on who you ask," Bastian responded, a small smile quirking at the corner of his lips as he looked at her
"Arvie Reinhard, nice to meet." He said, offering a hand.
Kaitlin rolled her eyes, “Can you tell me you’re name? Please…” She sighed, “nice to meet you too, I’m Kaitlin Towers.” She said as she shook his hand/
"Bastian Adler," he responded, his smile widening slightly at how she rolled her eyes. He was tired, and messing with people was a bit of consolation for being interrupted mid-coffee
“Nice to meet you too, I guess.” She respond, “So, should we leave now?”
Arvie interrupted the fight between fox and boy when he saw an opening, stepping into deal a punch to the redheaded kid's face. Knocking him out cold.
"Let's go." He said, glancing at Bastian and the girl as he approached the door.
"Sorry, we? As in…all of us random people who don't know each other?" Bastian asked with a small frown. He wasn't exactly in the mood to be dragged on some sort of wild quest
“Do you want to be taken by the HTO?” Kaitlin raised an eyebrow as she headed towards the door.
"Every person in this cafė!" Arvie called, staring down their shadowy watchers from afar.
"For your information, I've done a pretty good job avoiding them so far. It's been what, four thousand years? Three thousand?" Bastian replied before folding his arms loosely across his chest
“Yeah, Whatever.” Kaitlin replied, running a hand through her hair and heading out the door.
"You know, I have a car. If you guys are in such a hurry to get somewhere, I could at least give you a ride," Bastian offered with a shrug
Aleena came back “this is the most fun I e had in years!” She said shifting back
"They'd just remember the plate, and if they found it unguarded, who knew what they'd do." Arvie said, going near the "Employees Only" door, or the possible escape exit he'd noticed upon coming in. What he saw wasn't a pretty sight.
"Poor bastards." He whispered.
"Who's poor? The freaky children? How massacred did they get?" Bastian asked, following him out since he had nothing better to do
An employee lay there, his throat slit, and his skull bashed in. Arvie put a spare uniform over it's face, and stepped over it, out the back exit.
“I think I’m gonna be sick.” Aleeena gasped
