Aliana stumbled a little again as she was pulled before trying to match his pace, "I'm trying!"
Aliana stumbled a little again as she was pulled before trying to match his pace, "I'm trying!"
Hatta kept pulling her along. He didn't want to get eaten.
Aliana glanced back seeing the dog creature thing catch up to them. Tears started to fall from her eyes, "It's catching up."
Hatta growled under his breath. "Keep moving." He replied. He pulled his hat off and dug inside of it.
Aliana gave a nod and pushed herself to go further. She watched him for a moment before glancing back again.
Hatta dug something out of his hat and tossed it at the wall. It was a little strand of thread. Once it hit the wall, though, it grew thicker and longer, weaving itself into a wall across the corridor, blocking the beast.
Aliana saw the thread grow and grow and watched as the beast stopped to snarl at it. She took a deep breath or relief knowing that it had been slowed down for the moment.
Hatta kept running after that. "Come on. It'll give us a headstart, but we need to run."
Aliana nodded out of breath and ran after him. She continued to glance back to check on the monster seeing as it slowly made its way through the thread.
Hatta kept running.
Aliana ran further and could hear a roar from the distance as the monster broke through the thread. She looked to Hatta worryingly their headstart was up.
Hatta's eyes flickered. "Come on. Keep running." he said calmly.
Aliana nodded once more and continued to run. She didn't understand how Hatta was so calm at the moment. She responded to him breathlessly, "Okay."
Hatta kept running. In reality, he didn't have a clue what to do, but knew that staying calm was better.
Aliana tried to burst into a sprint to catch up to Hatta but failed to do so. It was fine. As long as he made it out okay, everything would be fine. Aliana wasn't that important in the long run.
Hatta slowed down to match her pace, eyes flicking around.
Aliana looked to him and then back to the monster chasing after them, "Keep going. I'll be fine."
Hatta shook his head. "Nope. Come on." He replied.
Aliana resigned herself and continued on. Her voice was breathless and slightly strained, "Okay, but if something happens then you run okay?"
Hatta sighed, and nodded. "Alright." He replied.
Aliana gave him a nod and kept going as fast as she could, though it wasn't enough to keep a distance between her and the dog.
Hatta kept running along beside her.
Aliana was breathing heavy as she looked back at the monster. She didn't know how much longer she could keep running.
Hatta grabbed her hand and pulled her along. "Stop looking back." he hissed between his teeth.
Aliana nodded and kept going letting Hatta pull her, "I, okay."
