"Hello, Redstar." Duckwing dipped his head respectfully and Bat mimicked him. "These two young cats want to join Runningclan."

Shadepaw shyly dipped his head to. "Hmmm we need more cats to build our clan so they're accepted. Their apprentice ceremonies will begin tomorrow at sun-high."

Duckwing purred. "That's great, Redstar. Have a nice day." He stepped out, taking Bat and Shade with him. "Looks like you can join! I'm sure you already know that your names will change a bit?" Bat nodded silently.

"Yea" Shadepaw, said softly. " Where do we sleep for now?"

"Probably the apprentices' den. Feel free to have a look around, though." Duckwing left them alone.
"See? That wasn't so hard." Batpaw started to walk as well, though in a different direction.

" Yeah…..I quess so" Shadepaw muttered, then spoke up "Which den should we see first?"

"I dunno which one's which." Batpaw said casually. "So whichever we come across first."

He looked at the medicine cats den which was in-front of them " I guess this one I think."

"Sure." Batpaw walked in and saw Dewpaw. "Hey." Dewpaw jumped a bit, startled. He glanced between the two unfamiliar cats. "Who're you?" Batpaw asked to no response from Dewpaw. "You good?"

Shadepaw followed and titled his head " He looks like a medicine apprentice" looking at the herbs that Dewpaw was sorting.

"Yeah, probably." Duckwing passed by the den and glanced in. Realizing they were trying to talk to Dewpaw, he decided it would be best for him to step in.
"That's Dewpaw. He's our medicine cat apprentice, and he doesn't speak."
"Ah… that makes sense. I don't think you ever told us your name?"
"Sorry about that. I'm Duckwing nice to meet you guys."

Shadepaw " Nice to meet you too"

"Well, we should leave Dewpaw to his sorting." Dewpaw nodded gratefully. "C'mon. I'll show you where the dens are." Duckwing led Batpaw and Shadepaw out.

Shadepaw looked around "Which one first?"

"Well, the closest one is the warriors' den." Duckwing led them to it. "This is where I sleep."

Shadepaw peaked inside Darkfang was curled up in a ball "Who is that?"

"That's Darkfang. He's another warrior in the clan." Duckwing flicked an ear, looking at Darkfang for a moment. Batpaw watched him as well, but didn't seem particularly interested.

Darkfang glanced at them getting woken up.

"Sorry, Darkfang. Just showing the newest members of our clan around."

"Okay, "

"Got any tips or information or anything?"

" Don't be a fleabrain" Darkfang replied.

"Uh… okay. Bye, Darkfang." Duckwing walked off with the two apprentices in tow. "Next is the nursery. Crescentshine is really our only queen at the moment. Hello, Crescentshine." She purred cheerfully as a response, stretching her paws. "She's Dewpaw's mother."

Shadepaw nodded.
