Mitchell searched for the feeling again, but it wasn't there. "But… it's gone now. So if it is, it doesn't want me as its pilot."
Mitchell searched for the feeling again, but it wasn't there. "But… it's gone now. So if it is, it doesn't want me as its pilot."
"I'm sure it does. None of us have felt anything yet." Gwen looked at Charlie. "Hey, make the lion go down there. That's probably where the next one is."
"You sure dude? 'Cuz none of us felt it apparently. That's gotta be significant right?"
"It will only allow itself to be piloted by somebody it respects, remember? If it respected me, it would let me pilot it, like it did for Keith." Mitchell leaned against the wall, dejected and irritated.
"It's okay, Mitchell. There are still four more lions. You still have a chance of being an awesome paladin. Actually, I'm sure you are!" Charlie quickly turned back in her seat and pushed the levers, hoping Blue would listen to her. Breathing a sigh of relief she did and gently flew down and landed on the surface of the planet, which raised a small dust cloud into the air.
Gwen rolled her eyes. "You are the most worthy person here, idiot."
"Yeah, maybe the red lion is passive-aggressively connecting with you."
"I'm not an idiot," Mitchell protested. Suddenly, he felt it again. The purr. Along with it, something seemed to be feeding ideas into his brain, kind of. "Patience yields focus," he whispered out loud.
"Sorry what? That's the most not-you thing I've ever heard you say. You feeling okay buddy?" Mike poked Mitchell's arm again
"Where's it coming from?" Tasper asked, looking at Mitchell. "Maybe we can find it!"
Gwen laughed. "Someone's been watching too much of those shows with Shiro."
"Yeah, that was definitely a connection thing. Spidey-sense us to the red lion dude!"
Mitchell batted his hand away, glaring at him. "I'm fine. I just felt it again, it's like it's talking to me. Telling me to be patient. Unfortunately, patience is not a thing I have."
"Well fortunately, I think I've got a way to figure it out. Tell me if it does the internal walkie-talkie thing again."
"Ha. It knows you too well Mitchell," Charlie giggled as Blue began scratching at the surface, trying to dig downwards after something.
Gwen walked away from the group. "C'mon guys. There's a whole planet ahead of us. Let's go find another lion!"
"Up, down, up, down. Can your giant cat make up its mind?"
Ranne realized that she had to steer them away from the red lion as quick as possible. "Uh, guys, I think that the red lion's on another planet,"
He glared at her, then turned to scan the outside. He couldn't feel anything, but he did his best to be patient, and just wait. Moments later, he felt a force tugging from behind. "It's that way!" He said, turning around.
"Uh…I don't see any palace."
(palace???)
(Shit I didn't read before and assumed we were on Arus)
"Oh wait, internal walkie-talkie!" Mike put his hand on top of Mitchell's head, and the weird diamond was on his forehead. "Ok, dunno how well this is gonna work, but I think I've got enough energy to teleport us all to the lion."
"Okay um Mitchell I can't see where you're pointing from back there. Get up here and give me directions." Charlie said, trying to get Blue back on track.
"Or Mike's way, if he can teleport a gigantic lion with the rest of us," Charlie added.
