She chuckled. "Same here. One minute I'm at the Garrison and the next…" Gwen snapped her fingers. "I'm in a giant Green Lion and I'm a paladin of Voltron."
She chuckled. "Same here. One minute I'm at the Garrison and the next…" Gwen snapped her fingers. "I'm in a giant Green Lion and I'm a paladin of Voltron."
Amber laughed lightly. "How did that happen?" She asked. "Like, how did you stumble across your lion?"
Gwen shook her head. "No, I was looking for it. I was bored so I snuck out of the Garrison at night and found this shuttle. I decided to get in it and it lead me to my lion."
"I honestly thought this thing was a myth," she admitted, stepping into the castle hesitantly. "And I'm still thinking it is a myth and somebody put LSD in my drink or something."
She let out a small chuckle. "Nah, this is one hundred and two percent real."
"Um… I don't think this is normal, even for a Paladin, I guess…" Matthias called from up in his lion. Red was holding onto his jacket like the scruff of a kit and sat him down on the ground before sitting.
"So that's three of us. Where are the other paladins?"
Amber looked behind her at the young man that had been carried by his lion and burst out laughing. "Guess this is new territory for all of us."
"I'm not a lil' kit, red-mother-robot-cat." Matthias growled in humility and stumbled to his feet. The lion purred in disagreement as he walked towards the two ladies to join them.
Gwen looked at the giant door that had opened up. "I assume this is the Castle of Lions. We should go in."
"Way ahead of you!" Amber called back, jogging up some stairs.
She shrugged and ran to follow her. "I'm Gwen by the way."
She smiled at her, putting her hood up. "I'm Amber. Nice to meet you."
Matthias jogged to keep up with them. "Ah, nice to meet ya lassies. The name's Matthias, but just call me Matt that's fine too." He huffed.
"Nice." She looked around the castle as they walked through it. Not as impressive as I thought it would be…
Amber slowed down so they didn't have to run. "I think I might have heard of you before," she said, looking back at Matt. "A friend of mine used to talk about you."
"Oh? That's slightly surprising. If ya don't mind me askin', who was it?" Matt asked, confused and curious.
"His name was Asura. We haven't talked in a couple of years though."
"Oh yeah. I know Asura…" Matthias trailed off and shook his head to snap himself out of his sudden intrusive thoughts.
Amber looked at him, confused. He seemed somewhat upset. "He mentioned you a lot, you know. Sometimes he wouldn't shut the hell up about you."
"Ha… well that's good at least. I didn't think I had that much of an impact on him actually… I guess I was wrong after all."
Gwen listened in on the conversation, having so many questions about this 'Asura' but not wanting to butt into the conversation.
"Yes, very much wrong. He got annoying after a while." She stretched her arms, climbing up the plain gray stairs as some sort of futuristic torches on the walls lit up with blue flames.
"Woah…" Gwen mumbled as the torches lit up. Lit. Shoot, I can't say that out loud that's lame.
She tilted her head, squinting. "Impressive."
