And apparently you broke the floor. Alrighty. Marlene turns after a moment of awkward silence. Have I told you about my Trait?
No… why? He asks curiously.
Knowing who you are, I'd bet all that champagne that you have one too. Marlene smiled. Mine is Despair. I hate it, as you'd expect. A little blue thing, bearing a resemblance to an Ox, flies out from behind Marlene's wings. That's Despair. I can silence her from time to time, but she doesn't effect me much anyway. I've learned to live with her.
He looks at her then at the small creature. Slowly he looks down then at the other. Mine is hatred. He allows Plagg out, shaking his head. He's kind of a nuisance.
I knew you'd have one. Elise smiles. *So you hate Hatred, huh? Interesting." Despair and Hatred fly around each other in the middle of the room.
(you know what Despair looks like, right?)
(and their name is what they are, btw.)
(Yeah, and fair enough)
He smiles a little, watching them interact. Sometimes, you gotta hate it. He smirks.
So true. Despair makes a peep, and then clears its throat, coughs, and starts speaking in a squeaky little voice. He flies up to Antione's face. "Who the heck are you?"
"I could ask you the same thing." He says casually.
"Despair, and right now you're nervous and probably unstable. You'll never be able to function normally like that." Despair sneered.
"Not really no. I'm kinda used to despair, being a reaper and all. I feed off it." He smirks.
Despair's face twisted. He flew back to Marlene and hissed in her ear. "You are really, really anxious. You're gonna break down and you'll never be able to accomplish anything. Without you, the world will go dark, and you'll fail." Marlene's face scrunched up, and she shoved Despair away, looking up at Antione. "See what I mean?"
He smiles softly and nods, "C'mere." He says gently, pulling her to him.
Marlene nods, resting her head against his chest. "Aw, look at the lovers, Hatred. I see something to ruin." Despair mused.
Mar snapped back. "Don't you dare."
Antoine raises a brow. He looks towards the other and smiles gently. "No matter what doubts you have. No matter what you think of me, I will always love you. There is nothing that can change that. Not hated. Not despair. Nothing will change that." He says softly, kissing her forehead.
"Aw, puppy, that's really sweet." Mar murmurs.
He laughs gently, kissing her softly. It's true though.
I could say the same thing, Mar replies, returning the kiss.
He holds her close and sighs softly.
"Ugh. Just look at that." Despair turns to Hatred.
(Is Hatred mute?)
Hatred bares his teeth at Despair. He had to wait. He knew where he could tick off the other, but the timeing had to be right. "Disgusting." Hatred replied.
"Oh, shove off." Mar growls at them. "I'll shut you in the box again."
Antoine looks at Hatred and shakes his head. "I will put you away." He says, shaking his head in fake disappointment.
"What's your holder for him?" Marlene asks. "Despair goes in an old ring."
