"'You're stranger than me,' says the magical pyromaniac," Sam scoffed. "Actually, you might have a point there… but come on. Dr. Monty is waiting. The lab's only a couple of blocks from here, we can walk," (time skip to the lab? also, sam completely forgot about jackson… but maybe he and ceri could trail them to the lab?)
(The lab is your idea… Why don't you describe it (or not)?)
"Dr. Monty," Sam said, their voice echoing throughout the ruins of the lab. "Beam us up, Scotty," they said carefully, although the lab was so destroyed that it was hard to believe a secret base could even exist here.
Ceri was a little ways behind them, curious as to what was going on. These people had powers… maybe they knew how she’d gotten hers.
"I can't wait," Isaiah scuffed towards 'Smokescreen' "What's the Doc supposed to do?"
Sam made the smoke grow thicker around Isaiah's face, blocking his line of vision. "Cool, just a bit more, and…" When the smoke disappeared, the two were in a large corridor, the walls covered in blueprints and drawings.
(I'm too lazy to have Jackson and Ceri actually following them, so I'm just going to have Jackson go a different way but still follow them and now he's at the lab)
('Sits here waiting for a chance to jump in')
//lmao same
Ceri walked up to the area where they’d disappeared and poked around. Moving debris, kicking aside paper, looking for where they’d gone. It was weird.”
Jackson skirted the outside of the abandoned lab. Or at least, it was supposed to be abandoned. Although the outside still looked to be in shambles, there were lights on and it looked like people had been in there recently. He tried to use his powers to see if anything bad would happen to him when he stepped in there, but his ability seemed useless. It was always like that though, never reliable, only showing him things he actually needed to see once in a while. The rest of the time it was useless moments that never actually came to pass.
“Hey!” She called, waving. “It’s you again.”
Jackson looked up. "Oh… hey. Yeah it's me. Suppose you decided to follow them too?" He gestured to the lab, which he was trying to figure out how to break into.
"Great this place looks lively. NOT. Please get this smoke/fog/grey air stuff away from me!"
(Would the smoke still be around Jackson's neck or would Sam have taken it back?)
“Yeah, theyve got powers too. They might know where mine came from,” she said, poking around.
(a couple of wisps, sam's not even really thinking about keeping it there now, but they can reinforce it if they remember)
( @TheLavenderOwl maybe you can come in with dr. monty?)
"Great this place looks lively. NOT. Please get this smoke/fog/grey air stuff away from me!"
"Nope. Not until I find out what I should do with you. And it's mist,"
“Yeah, theyve got powers too. They might know where mine came from,” she said, poking around.
Jackson contemplated telling her about his own powers, but decided against it. He barely knew her, and it didn't seem like the right time. He looked around, and finally found an entrance. "I think the door's over here," He said, walking over. He held it open, and gestured for Ceri to enter.
She walked over and slipped in. “God, it’s dark down here. The other guy did some fancy thing, but I guess we have to take the long way.”
"Great this place looks lively. NOT. Please get this smoke/fog/grey air stuff away from me!"
"Nope. Not until I find out what I should do with you. And it's mist,"
Isaiah rolled his eyes, "yeah. Sure, whatever."
Sam paced the floor, thinking. "…We need a holding cell made of materials that you can't burn through… maybe fire-resistant glass for the windows, and steel for the walls? That way, if you try to burn yourself out, you'll suffocate!"
