Micah sat outside on the large porch that wrapped around his house. He was sitting on the steps, playing with his watch. He kept taking it apart and putting it back together, changing the design every time. The watch was a gift from his sister, and he wore it on his wrist every day. Micah also carried around spare gears, springs, and other random parts just in case he had to fix something.

Marceline shrugged nonchalantly. "I like to know about things that could change my life, don't you?" She shifted in her barstool and noticed the girl's misty eyes, realizing she was blind. "Don't you?" She looked around the bar for anyone she might know. Sure, she looked like a different person right now, but it was still dangerous for her to be here.

@ShadeStar

"Yeah," Ivory responded. She scanned the bar with her magic for any anomalies. She whispered to the strange girl, "You ain't working for the Innigo's?"

Lilian

Marceline shook her head quickly. Technically it wasn't a lie- she may be an Innigo under the illusion, but she supported the rebellion. If there was truly one happening, that is. She scoffed. "Course not. I've seen their fancy houses, and here I live in a pigsty with 5 other people. Who would want to work for them- well, it's beyond me."

@ShadeStar

Ivory let out a small chuckle. She dropped the fake accent, "Well then. My name's Ivory and yes I do know about the Ptherion rebels."

Lilian

She nodded, noting the accent change. "Ivory's a pretty name." Marceline replied, shaking her glass of water so the ice clinked on the glass. Again she lied, not wanting to run the risk of somehow being identified. Giving out her real name wasn't worth getting arrested for treason. "Call me Anya. What exactly do you know about them? Might join them, if they'll take me. No sense in waiting around for someone else to do something, right?"

@PuffPoff

Micah tapped his foot against the step, keeping time with the ticking clock after he fixed it. He strapped it around his wrist and looked around the street. Most of the mansions on this street looked exactly the same. The road went straight down the middle. The yards were perfectly cut and the sidewalks had no weeds growing out of them. It was certainly an upgrade from the last house he lived in. That was Micah's favorite part about the invasion; the fact that his family was treated much better in the Innigo society.

She pressed her tongue against her cheek, thinking carefully. Marceline had the feeling Ivory was going to ask for something in return, and didn't want to ask enough questions to be seriously indebted to this stranger. "Tell me where I can find them. Someone who can get me in the group."

@ShadeStar

"That's all you want to know?" Ivory looked at her. Anya really did want to join the resistance if that was all, "I can help you with that much."

Lilian

"That's it." She waited nervously, hoping she could help. She softly exhaled when Ivory spoke again. "Thank you." Marceline looked up at Vivian, wondering how much- if any- she had overheard. If she was an Innigo supporter or not. In times like these, it never hurt to be cautious. "Yes, please." She pushed her glass towards the girl, smiling stiffly.

Lilian

"How long have you been working here?" Marceline asked, gesturing around the pub. It was filled with people, who were more often than not drunk. "I imagine it's not a fun job." Bartenders always had information- one of the few perks of the job, she supposed. Marceline figured it never hurt to have an ally in this part of town, either. "Anya, by the way. "

@ShadeStar

"No thank you," Ivory told the waitress, "Well then Anya I suppose we should be leaving soon. They do not like waiting."

@PuffPoff

Micah decided to take a walk, knowing that spending too much time in this neighborhood would make him go crazy. He knew that he was likely to stand out if he went to the Ptherion neighborhoods, but he really needed a break from all of the perfect and organized mansions. Micah wasn't a very organized person himself. He wore his usual outfit, but in darker colors so he might blend in more.

Lilian

Marceline nodded and stood up, glad to get out of the pub and back into fresh air for a while. She tugged the hood of her black cloak back, letting her curly red hair pop out. She tapped two of her fingers together, hoping this wouldn't take too long. If she was right, she had about 3 hours left that she could keep up the illusion before her energy was drained completely. Two hours until she would start getting noticeably weak and shaky.

@ShadeStar

Ivory followed her out. Her feet leading the way to the rebellion spot. Ivory's magic being used to allow her to see the world around her. It took a lot of concentration so she didn't exactly use it often or for very long.

Lilian

How did she navigate so deftly as a blind girl? Unless she was magicking her eyes to look that way, she was at least semi-blind. Worried if she asked she would be turned away, she swallowed the question and followed. The sun was starting to set, turning the sky a striking pink and orange. The buildings here were so different than the ones in her own side, she reflected. She was used to tall buildings painted an assortment of colors, each with decks and massive windows to look at the sea and town. Further out, rows of huge, extravagant houses lined the streets. Here, buildings were short and squat, without an ocean view. The heavy smell of manure and sweat never quite seemed to leave, even after it had just rained.
As Ivory slowed, Marceline realized she had never been in this area before. She would find a way back somehow.

Micah turned down a musty and nearly abandoned street. He felt out of place and quite vulnerable in this environment, but when he turned around he realized that he didn't know how to get back home. He stuck his hand in his pocket and used his magic to move the pieces around, trying to create some type of weapon. Unfortunately, he didn't have the right pieces.
