Xander stared at the wall, sighing. "They're worried sick. I just know it. I was with my sisters when I disappeared. We were out, and now I'm gone. They had to have noticed. I was taken in broad daylight, and honestly I wish they had just taken me out back and shot me instead of making all of us wait around and literally kill one another."

River walked around. She wasn’t sad because she wasn’t close to the voted girl. She saw a person standing alone and decided to go converse “h-hi.” She said quietly (John?)

"Hey," John responded, looking at River. He wondered how she felt about all this, "We need to find a way to survive. By any means. There has to be a way out. There just… has to."
He sighed and rubbed his hands, "I don't want to go yet. I'm only nineteen,” John looked again at River, "How old are you… seventeen?"

“Y-yeah. I was g-gone for groceries b-because my m-mom asked me t-to get them. T-then I woke u-up h-here.” Said.

"I was in a bookstore," John replied then wanted to kick himself. The girl was nervous and that's all he could say? "I'm going to find a way out for both of us."

“I hope y-you do.” She replied.

Okay, where to start? I guess I should start with why I never told you my real name. My real name is Odette, as you might already know. On the island we were given new names, names that revealed our real selves. Veda means ‘understanding’. To me, Veda IS my real name.

Enzo's eyes fluttered open. He hadn't really managed to sleep much last night. If it had, in fact, been nighttime. Even now waking up without a window or a clock to tell him what time it was grated on his nerves and his OCD. He rolled out of bed, running his hands through his hair, and stood. He made sure to spread his bed perfectly –at least there could be some semblance of ordinary and planned in the chaos. He sighed and made his way to the lounge.

John had gotten up a merely few minutes ago, his hair still a mess and his eyes still drooping closed as he sat in the lounge.

Lexi stretched her arms as she woke up to the ceiling. Where am I? She thought to herself bedore she remembered where she was and the horrid events that had happened. No no no did he die? Lixi thought to herself in horror, last nights events were a blur for her. "Enzo, Enzo?" Lixi called out in the empty halls.

Enzo froze on his way to the lounge at the sound of Lexi's panicked voice. He hurried down the hall and located her room, walking inside and sitting on the side of her bed. "It's alright, conejita, I'm here."

Lexk sobbed into Enzo, tears of both happiness and sorrow. Wait that means….. Lexi realized sheay have been responsible for Veda's death. "I…..I kill her……I'm scared." Lexi couldn't really articulate her words so it sounded like ISlivedlurImKard.

"I….I don't want to die." Lexi gave a soft and hoarse reply. I wonder how dad is doing…. So many scenarios flashed through her mind and none of them were good.

"You aren't going to die," he said, "I promise." He ruffled her hair gently, forcing a smile. "Let's go get some breakfast, okay?"

Lexi gave a sniffle as she whipped the tears from her eyes. "O-Ok." She whispered.

He stood up and held out a hand to her. "C'mon. No more tears, okay? We're gonna get all this figured out."

Lexi nodded as she took a deep breath. "Ok." She said again, but this time a bit firmer and held on to his hand for dear life.

Enzo led her back to the lounge, trying to keep his expression neutral and pleasant.

River woke up and hugged her knees
