Xander awoke with a start. He was lying on a firm, almost hard mattress, staring up at the ceiling of a bedroom whose only source of light was an oil lantern on the dresser. Where was he? He was already on the verge of panic. Xander had been out with his sisters at an arts festival, but they were gone now, and he was here. Upon thinking more, he realized that he had briefly been separated from them when he had stopped to look at some hand-made jewelry. Now he was here, wherever here was.
In a panic, Xander jumped out of the bed and dashed for the door. He expected it to be locked, but to his surprise, it opened easily. Xander ran into the hallway, calling his sisters' names frantically. He thought he was going to lose his mind.
Someone was yelling. Enzo instinctively sank into a ready position, eyeing the hallway with distrust. If there was another person here, was it a kidnapper? Or someone else who'd been kidnapped? There was no way to know for sure. "Hello?" he shouted.
Xander paused, suddenly about to panic. "H-hello?" he replied, barely loud enough to hear.
He looked around for something to use as a weapon, but there was nothing close enough besides a vase sitting on a table. He smashed it and picked up a shard to use as a makeshift knife if he so needed it.
A loud crash shot through the empty air. Enzo jumped back, his hands clenching into fists. "Who are you? What do you want from me?" he demanded, his voice taking on a tinge of panic.
Lixi slowly woke up to an unfamiliar place. Where am I? Is this a dream? She wondered and looked around. It was a plain room, with only one light source, and besides the matress she slept on. It was very bare and that gave her bad vibes. She heard yelling somewhere around the house. I want to go back home. She was scared. She slowly moved towards the door and opened it. "H-Hello?" She called out in a horse voice.
"You can't kidnap me and act like I'm the one who wants something! I just want to go home!" Xander shouted back. His heart was pounding so loudly, he was almost surprised the other guy couldn't hear it. Xander had to take deep breaths to keep himself from completely breaking down right there.
"I didn't –forget it, I hear something. A kid, possibly." Enzo decided that the guy must not be the kidnapper, and thusly didn't pose much of a threat to anyone. He took a few more hesitant steps down the hall. "Hello? Is there someone else here?"
Lixi was nervous. She didn't know where she was at all. All she remembered was saying good-night to her dad after watching a Marvel Movie and going to sleep. She heard a crash down the stairs along woth more yelling. Lixi took a shaky breath abd started moving towards the yelling. Her shaking was unbearable and she felt the color drain from her face. No, no, no not now. She felt an anxiety attack coming in. She moved down the stairs and turn a hallway and saw two men yelling. "H-hello?" She whispered.
Enzo motioned to the guy at the other end of the hall to keep still. He turned around slowly, his hands clearly visible, the calmest smile he could manage glued to his face. "Hey, sorry about the yelling," he said to the girl. She was small, wearing a marvel shirt, and looked on the brink of panic. "I hope this goes without saying, but we're not the kidnappers. We're trapped, too."
Lixi felt like she was going to collaspe due to her shaking and she started to hyperventilate. "W-Who a-re you a- nd w-w-where am I." She tried to speak to the men. She clinged onto the wall, hopefully she wouldn't fall.
Xander had been clutching the glass shard so tightly that it cut into his hand. He was frozen, and his gaze was on the girl. Xander could not speak. How many people had been kidnapped?
Enzo was conflicted. If he kept his back to the other man for too long, he could use whatever he'd just broken to stab him in the back. But if he turned, the girl might get even more spooked and pass out –putting her at risk. He made his decision quickly. Approaching the girl slowly, he kept his smile on his face. "Hey, it's okay, chiquita," he said, "I'm Enzo. I'm lost, too."
Asura woke up with a loud gasp, nearly falling out of his bed. He sat up straight, panting and gasping for air as he looked around. He wasn't all familiar with his surroundings.
(Can I still maybe join?)
Lixi nodded. "I-I'm L-Lixi." She studdered and stared to calm down a bit. Her hand was shaking unbearably as she reached out and grabbed Enzo's hand whule having her other hand clutched to the wall.
Xander was trembling, probably at least as panicked as the girl in front of him. He stepped towards Enzo and Lixi, still holding the glass. It wasn't Enzo he was afraid of. It was whoever might have kidnapped them, and he was determined to keep his guard up.
"Alright, nice to meet you Lixi," he said, holding her hand gently. He turned to face the other man, keeping a steadying hand on Lixi. "And you are?" he demanded, eyeing the shard of glass in the guy's hand.
Name: Paige Turner
Age: 17
Appearance: angelic blonde hair and wide, blue, doe eyes
Paige heard voices and crept down a slim side hallway. A girl, looking faint, was speaking with two aggressive looking guys. Oh Lord, stay calm. Oh Lord…
Asura climbed out of bed and slowly made his way toward the door, peering down the hallway. "Hello?" He called.
"Xander," he answered hoarsely, "And this?" Xander motioned at the glass shard. "This isn't for you. It's for whatever sick freak did this to us."
His voice wavered a lot, and he still thought he was going to completely break down. Yet, by some miracle, he was still standing, looking Enzo in the eye.
Lixi was alarmed that she heard more voices behind her, it sent her into panic causing her to hid behind Enzo, one hand still holding his and the other clutching his shirt.
"Okay, Xander," Enzo repeated, his expression serious but still calm. "How long have you been here?"
