Kanoa dipped the brush into the blue foundation they'd gotten for Laurie and started applying it on Laurie's face.
Laurie did her best not to sneeze as Kanoa applied the makeup, playing around with her glamour (illusion) powers. She made the floor tiles look neon green, then the toilet covered with flowers.
"Ooh! Can you make the room gold?" Kanoa suggested, bobby pins between her teeth and hairbands on her wrist as she was now doing Laurie's hair.
Laurie let her eyes fall shut, concentrating. When she opened them again, the walls of the room glimmered and shone.
Kanoa gasped and the bobby pins fell out of her mouth. "Pretty."
Laurie smiled shyly. “It’s always been a hobby of mine.” Concentrating harder, she made a gorgeous butterfly appear, flapping daintily around Kanoa.
"It's so cool!" Kanoa held out her hand for the butterfly to perch, "Is it real?"
Laurie shook her head. “Just an illusion.” She made the butterfly land on Kanoa’s hand, jeweled wings fluttering.
"WOW!!" Kanoa laughed and twirled around.
Laurie grinned, making Kanoa glow.
Kanoa smiled and placed a hand on the counter, "You're so cool Laurie."
Her eyes widened slightly. “Me? I think you mean you!”
Kanoa smoothed Laurie's hair, "I think we mean both of us!"
Laurie blushed, smiling widely. She made the room go dark, a spotlight landing in Kanoa.
"How do you do it?" Kanoa asked, gazing in awe at the dark room.
Laurie shrugged self-consciously. “It’s a Faerie thing, I think. There’s no real way fit me to know.”
"A faerie thing." Kanoa brightened, "I have stuff like that too! A half-demon thing."
(Topaz, did you go onto the Scarlet/Willow rp recently? I wrote a bit of backstory.)
“Like what?” The spotlight and darkness faded, the washroom back to normal.
"I can go all big and scary, but not like the demons my daddy shows me when he takes me to Hell on the weekends."
“Hell?! What’s it like? And can you show me your scary self?”
"It's really cool! All the demons are pretty chill down there." Kanoa smiled, "My scary self comes when I'm feeling scary, right now I'm feeling fuzzy." she leaned down and hugged Laurie, "Fuzzy, floofy, poofy."
“Floofy.” Laurie giggled.
"Yes, floofy."
She giggled again. “Puffly.”
