Mikhail stopped petting him when he wobbled away to the bathroom. He plopped down on his bed and looked around the room, waiting for Adrien to come out. He glanced at Adrien when he started talking. "It was cool, I'm glad you trust me to touch your skin."
"Oh, thanks! It was nice of you to let me touch your wings. It was kind of magical," He said, brushing a hand over his hair. He carefully folded his skin and stuck it under his bed. He stood here for a few seconds, not really sure of what to say. Eventually, he spat something out. "Hey, this might be kind of random but are you straight?"
(I'm heading off to dinner, ttyl)
(oki den)
Mikhail glanced at him when he started talking after a few seconds. "Oh, um, not really. Why did you ask?" He asked.
"Just wondering." Adrien tried to sound nonchalant, but inside he was screaming with joy. There were dating possibilities! "Uh, I'm gay. Just so you know."
Mikhail nodded and smiled at him. "Okay then, same here," He replied. wAIT, wAiT, hE'S gAY?!? eXCuSE mE, aRe yOU SeRiOuS.
Adrien grinned back at him. "Maybe we can go to pride together! If I'm not in the hospital, anyways," Adrien suggested. He tried to go every year but last year he'd had a heart surgery and the year before he was recovering from one. Hopefully, he'd be fine this year but he knew not to make any serious plans.
"Sure, that sounds good to me," Mikhail replied. It was his first time going to a pride, if they could go, since he was usually too busy trying to survive. He was still glad that Adrien trusted him, no one in his life trusted him, not even his family.
"Great! Pride's always super fun. How much rainbow stuff do you own?" It was a legitimate question. While Adrien had an incredibly bright outfit hanging on his closet, he knew many other's were a little less flamboyant.
"Not much, I've never been to a pride before," Mikhail answered. He only owned clothing in dark colors.
"Aww, guess I need to take you shopping then! It's only 2 weeks away." Adrien wondered if Target would sell anything with sufficient rainbows. Maybe he should stick to Amazon.
Mikhail nodded. "Sure, sounds good. Can we go shopping on the weekend?" He asked. "I'm usually very tried on weekdays," He quickly explained.
"Dude, totally!" Adrien plopped back down on the couch, wriggling to distract himself from the pain in his chest. "Uh, want to watch a movie? My chest kind of hurts and I don't wanna move."
Mikhail shrugged. "Sure, what movie?" He asked, plopping down on the couch.
Adrien shrugged, wriggling in discomfort again. Stupid heart that couldn't do it's fucking job 80% of the time. "Whatever you want. The TV has Netflix so you can do whatever you want. I trust you!" He smiled at Mikhail gently, setting his head down on Mikhail's lap.
Mikhail blushed furiously and tried his best to hide his face without making it obvious. "You can pick, I don't watch a lot of movies," He replied.
Adrien looked up at the TV, trying to think of a good movie. "This is hard," He whined, flipping over so he could be more comfortable in Mikhail's lap. "How about Brokeback Mountain?"
Mikhail kept blushing furiously. Is he doing this since he knows I like him? "Sure," He answered, glancing at the TV and trying to find the movie Adrien suggested.
Adrien wriggled a bit more, hoping his movement wouldn't annoy Mikhail too much. He wanted to impress the guy so he might consider dating Adrien, not annoy him away. "It's the one with the two cowboys on the cover. Always makes me cry."
"Why?" Mikhail asked. He finally found the movie after a few seconds and he selected it (idk how netflix works), putting the remote next to him as he watched the movie.
(You've got it)
"It's this epic forbidden love story about two guys who just… they have a really passionate relationship but they don't… they can't start a life together. And they get married to other girls but they keep seeing each other. God, I'm doing a shitty job explaining, I'm sorry. It's just really sad," Adrien explained, hating how snuffly his voice got when he started talking about it. It was just a really sad movie.
(yayyyyyyyyy)
"Oh, that's cool," Mikhail replied, smiling at him. He wasn't sure what to do if Adrien started crying so he was already thinking of things he could if Adrien started crying since he was terrible in those types of situations.
Adrien sniffed and wiped his eyes. He was a big boy, he shouldn't be crying over movies. "Can you play it please?" He asked, voice still watery but stronger than it had been before. "This movie always makes me cry, so ignore me when I do."
Mikhail did as he was told and played the movie. He was still blushing slightly and he tried to hide his face, hoping it wasn't noticeable.
Adrien ignored the opening credits in lieu of seeing Mikhail's reaction to them. He frowned when he noticed Mikhail covering his face. Did he not like the movie? Had Adrien made it sound gross? Adrien grabbed one of Mikhail's hands, letting out a squeak of embarrassment when he noticed Mikhail blushing.
